And now it is one...
Chip is hanging onto Walter, nearly unconsious.
Artie and Wendy are both unconsious due to electrical shock...
And Walter's rope is untangling.
Walter better have soemthing BIG up his sleeve to get out of this one...
In Time Trouble, Dimwit and Dumwit offer a good laugh, then Dimwit promptly goes to prove how cruel he is... Quite the plot development.

Well, if I decide to take your CNW strip as truth... Everyone but Walter is dead. I NEVER EXPECTED THAT. OK, maybe one Duckbill would die, BUT ALL BUT ONE?! Bloody hell, that's dramatic.
Dumwit is a bastard. ^_^

My, oh my, oh my...
Things just seem to keep getting more and more exciting. I'm especially loving Dimwit's expressions. My favorites are the one in the second row and the "Your answer... is no" sequence.

I can't take any more Sterling. I hope Dimwit and Dumwit capture him ASAP. :P
Hey Dub, you said earlier that you had to cut down on the updates per week. Have you thought of splitting each comic in half? They're quite large at about 4 rows an episode and you could probably build up a large backlog just by releasing 2-row comics for a while.

First, lets start with Slane

quote:
48 hours?! Dub, get in bed now! Get some sleep! By the time I realized what I did I had already deled my photoshop PSD file. So its impossible to be corrected without rescanning that scene and posting it on there, which is too late to do now.
Just so you'll know, Mr. Twister is using omega to hold a large boulder over his head which he plans on hurling at Chip and Walter.
Sorry about that.

quote:
Other than that, the backgrounds you used in TT (roses behind Sarah, the usual jigsaw puzzle) worked great for the issue, and all the characters in both comics look great and have the right emotion to their appearance.

Thanks ^^ I was wondering if the roses were a bit much. Maybe I should have toned them down a bit. Upon further inspection the top half the script makes better use of "space" as opposed to the bottom half which feels cluttered to me. NO NO NO NO !!!!!!!! AND A THOUSAND TIMES NO!!!!!!!!!

I ask for feedback for a reason guys.
I usually do a double and triple check of the strips, but something almost ALWAYS misses my glare at least once. I think I had to reupload a strip three times once before I was sure I got anything I missed.
I like it when you guys tell me I made a spelling error because then i can correct it. I had a talk with Kat today and she said she dtopped cause she didnt wanna come off a s a nag, but I REALLY do appreciate the feedback.
The fact that I was spelling bee champion in early elementary school alludes me to no end, but when it comes to making typos I AM THE KING.
So please - IF YOU SEE SOMETHING - ANY MISTAKE - ANYTHING: TELL ME AND DONT FEEL LIKE A NAG ABOUT IT.
I never would have caught the Omega Arms/Black Background snafu if someone hadnt. I appreciate feedback.

quote:
As for the storyline and emotion...dang. It's just shocking seeing this. I can't believe Walter has to face Twister alone, for the moment;

**is tempted to spoil BUT CANT!!** MUST NOT RUIN THE STRIPS UP TO 100 **quivers violently** ^^

quote:
your heart goes out to the brothers when Chip wants to sacrifice himself.

I dunno why, but my eyes welled up when I wrote that scene. Didnt cry or nothin'. ^^ But I was REALLY REALLY hoping that didnt come off forced and/or spoon-fed. I wanted it to have a lot of impact in the relationship between Chip and Walter as brothers. Its the reason why I focus on specifically Chip and Walter.
All 4 of the kids each have thier own relationships that differ in a sense, (i.e. Chip and Wendy, Wendy and Walter, Chip and Artie, Artie And Wendy, Walter and Artie) but its Chip and Walters that I think are deepest, not because they are twins born not that far from each other, but because they are both so different and opposite. Walter being the "bookworm nerd", Chip being "Mr. Popular"

quote:
As for continuity, I didn't see Walt's glasses come off, but it isn't necessary to have any scene to establish that;

Thats why i didnt. You can just as easily say his glasses fell off when Twister sliced the cliff and move on. And you dont notice he didnt have any on until he said it.

quote:
heck, I didn't notice he lacked his spectacles until he mentioned it. In TT, the Wits' change of behavior is...creepy.

YES! ^__^ Thats just the sense I wanted to convey.
The Wits are good people (STUPID but good)...they just do bad things. Its they WHY they do the bad things I wanna get into...especially when I bring King Dobie into the picture

quote:
It makes sense, and I expected something like this would happen since they work for King Dobie, but it's still amazing to witness their malevolence. Then again, Sarah did say they looked like they were good people;

Which goes back to something else I've been trying to establish. Ever since the Thunder Tower portion of the storyline, have you noticed that whenever something happens or she meets somebody or something big is about to occur - whe almost always has a "sixth sense" about these things? Either saying she's got that "bad feeling again" or something along those marks? The same thing applies here, but to a different extent as far as Dimwit and Dumwit are concerned.
Theres backstory with Dimwit, Dumwit, King Doberman, and the previous royal court. Dimwit and Dumwit are joke villians, but they can pose a threat - espcially to Duster and Pierre who cant really defend themselves that well with everyone missing. After all - they had the Wizard to protect them, but dont now. They werent big hands in the royal staus though they served an important part - Pierre being just the royal chef and Duster (not sure if I've established this yet) The Royal Librarian. Percy Pheasant (who comes into play later) fills out the trio. Duster and Pierre are scared shitless of them and no one else bothers to come near them.
But Sarah IS not. She confronts them. And thats the first step to her MAYBE later becoming her own person instead of just Sterling's lackey and emotional punching bag. I wanna give her a sense of individuality, which she doesnt have AT ALL now.
This was ALSO the first time she sort of stood up for herself and someone else against Sterling.
And I'll DEFINETELY be hitting on that in the near future.

quote:
BTW, she was very effective in this issue. And, of course, Sterling is a racist piece of sh** that needs to be smacked upside the head a few more times.

So I take it you people STILL want your "Sterling Silver plushies"?

quote:
Oh, and one more thing: I showed some of your comics to my friends at school, and they got a real kick out of it. YAAAY!
And now onto Vector:

quote:
I can't take any more Sterling. I hope Dimwit and Dumwit capture him ASAP. :P

Isnt he just the peachiest character ever?
So far he's:
- Punched Sarah keeling her over in the process
- Mocked Kedzie before Gearshift shot Lu.
- Tried to intimidate Duster and Pierre (only to get that hilarious axe scene)
- Kicked Luis when he was down just out of sheer spite instead of helping him to see if he was OK.
- ALMOST called Lienne a b*tch. (though he has flung lighter insults at her here and there)
- REPEATDLY flung racial insults at Luis since he - coincidentally cant fight back.
- REPEATEDLY flung racial insults at Lucky even AFTER Lucky kicked his ass at Thunder Tower, just because he finds it funny
- Referred to all of NYC as filthy and detestable
- And his treatment towards Sarah in general could fill up a small webpage.

And believe it or not...he's not done yet. And he does it - JUST BECAUSE he likes to and gets a kick out of it since he likes the fact that he's trapped with all them.
And the sad thing is - people act just like that in real life, but the difference is that some peope keep thier racial malevolence and intolerance and meanness towards others on the DL, very rarely letting thier true feelings out. Sterling however, has no fear about doing so, say sthis frequently and openly, and he is already this bad and is JUST A TEENAGER.
If he's this bad - can you imagine what his father is like currently and grandfather WAS like specifically towards Sarah's grandfather? Its a vicious cycle. And that in a nutshell is Sterling Silver and people just like him.

quote:
Hey Dub, you said earlier that you had to cut down on the updates per week. Have you thought of splitting each comic in half? The only thing is, I want #100 to be really special and I had planned a long time ago for specific events to happen in each one for CNW and TT. I'm building up to two major resolutions in each story and I've had a lot of story I want to get out before 100 hits so I can lead into it. So the comics up to #100 are purposely big. Otherwise i wouldnt do them.
Like the cliff thing in CNW - theres no way I could pull that off in just 2 rows. So I'm sacrificing time to make SURE that I'm getting my P's and Q's in order. And each strip in itself has held some VERY important plot points.
But dont worry - after #100 I'll be back to 2 rows for a long while. Don't worry about it.
As for the backgrounds, now that you mention it, the only change, and its a minor one, mind you, is to maybe ghost the rose backgrounds a little more. Other than that, keep using them the way you have been using them.
Oh, and don't worry about me stopping the friendly critism; I do it even when I'm not thinking.
...
Yeah, that's what I meant to say.
However, looking back, I was incorrect in my previous statement of saying you got "of" and "or" confused. However, I did find mistake I did notice intially: Dim, with the creepy eyes (yikes), says at the end, "The Tinsuits came for you Kedzie. Be we came for an entirely different person..."
First, it should be "but" and not "be." As for grammer, there should be a comma between "you" and "Kedzie." And I totally agree with the racism stuff; I live in a community home to numerous homosexuals and near Miami, a city called for having numerous Cubans and Latinos, leading to too much bull sh** over different people. Sterling just represents all of that vialness...but I still think he's number one. (Slane gives Sterling the middle finger.)
Oh, and can you make my Sterling Silver plushie a voodoo doll version?
