Like the topic says, Hurricane Michelle has kept me out of school. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> I really don't know how to react, however. I mean, Florida here isn't getting anything except rain and winds (I don't know about flooding, however), so I guess I should be happy that I get to miss school today.<P>However, Cuba and the islands are getting hit REALLY badly, and I might have to make this school day up (plus, I work on the Yearbook and our deadline is quickly approaching, so I've lost a day of work. DAMNIT! :mad <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> so I don't know whether I should feel bad. Any comments?<P>BTW, is there anyone here from Florida, particulary South Florida?

I bet the weather was pretty bad down there due to Michelle. Plus, right when everyone started heading back, this jerk hi-jacked an SUV by clubbing the driver repeatedly with a hammer. The driver is now in critical condition. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/frown.gif"> The man evaded the cops repeatedly, going through these empty lanes at the toll booths (known as Sun Pass booths because you don't have to pay at them; you get charged later). This moron newsanchor actually laughed as this jackass kept making u-turns on the Turnpike. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/mad.gif"> The hi-jacker was finally captured; when he jumped out of the car, the SUV actually ran over his leg!!!<P>WB: I didn't know you lived in FL for a while! I live in Broward so I haven't seen much of Miami (except for some field trips and baseball and basketball games). Orlando has always seemed like a cool town, except for being the source of all evil. That's right: boy bands and solo pop divas. Scary...

Well, I'm originally from Key West, but my family moved up to Tampa 11 years ago. Right now I'm at UF.<P>And no, I don't know the guy who does 8-Bit Theater, even though he's up here, too.

I actually used to live in Florida for a long time when I was younger <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"><P>The first place we lived in was Miami in the Biscayne Bay area. I havent been to Miami since I was 7 years old so I dont have the slightest idea what it even looks like. I went to school in the Homestead area near the AFB (I think theres one there. Cant remember)<P>Mom didnt like Miami much at all because of the heat so we moved to Orlando and took up residence there for a much larger time <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> We lived in the Turkey Lake area and I went to Hiawassee Elementary school. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> <P>After Orlando - we moved to Miami where I lived for 5 years before returning full circle to Birmingham, where we've stayed ever since
