LOL! Nice to see a new comic, Dubs. They were pretty good, with the more dramatic tone of C&W and the comedic tone of TT and its cross-eyed cow. ^^
Now, the mystery sound clips. #1 sounds like Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures, I think (I don't remember that episode, though o.o). I think #2 is from an old Donald Duck short from the 40's, and he's in this forest somewhere, and he meets the bird that's doing that singing in the clip.
Of course, I could be wrong.

I'm enjoying everything, too, Dub, although I`m going to play devil`s advocate here and say that you might be overdoing the references a bit. I`ve been thinking this way for a while, but officially had it confirmed on Sunday night when a non anime watching friend of mine asked me to pass on the sentiment that although he`d at least figured out that he was missing things, he hadn`t the foggiest idea what you were talking about.
Or is that just his rotten luck for being from the UK?
I`ve touched on this in the mail I sent you last night.
Its a Sailor Mini Moon reference. most people I've talked to did get it and LOLed at it ^^ (but i taled to you over MSN Sam so its moot now I guess) ^___^
Nick's got the first half of the question right. I'm assuming NOBODY knows the second half of todays trivia - #2 and #3? ;D

But I`m still going to expand on what I meant in the e-mail that I`m writing for you.
Don`t forget that the UK`s only seen the first nine episodes of Sailor Moon, which were so cut to ribbons that most existing British fans hated them on sight, and screened at 7.30am in the most awakward kiddie slot possible. They were also only screened last November/December.
The majority of the UK would have no clue about it - and as far as the UK`s concerned, Slayers just doesn`t exist.
Don`t misunderstand me - the fact that you write for yourself and your friends first is a great thing - and I do like the comedy reference strips, myself - but it does create a degree of exclusivity in your audience sometimes.
Anime`s still a quite specialised field, and when entire strips`re one long gag based on one anime reference, and they`re having to either run to keep up or be clueless.
