Well, for one thing: before civilization had
reached the stage of industrialzation, furs
were not considered genuine intelligent beings
and were therefore legal to hunt in most
places. The arguments for and against that
practice raged on for a long time before humans
and furries finally hashed out a semi-civilized
state of coexistance. But the
romanticized version of that society still
maintains a powerful hold on their world, and
since that version holds that furries are
less than human that prejudice is maintained
by association. Then, of course, there are
the more basic xenophobic feelings, planted
in ignorance and nurtured by hate: looking
and acting different=bad, having different
scent and being able to identify others by
scent=suspicious, having sharp teeth and
claws=threatning, using and understanding
instinct=conspiratorial, the list goes on.
What have any particular furries done to him
that would make him feel that way? Probably
nothing at all; indeed, it's unlikely that
he's ever spent any significant time around
any furs or had a meaningful conversation with
one. But his hate is only that much more real
for having no logical basis for it.

The hatreds are petty only in that they are
unfounded. The actual emotions themselves are
very real and deep-rooted. And, as I've said
before, I have to show how things are so that
I can show how things change. So these "two
sides of the same coin" have to take the

It has been said that it is easier to see faults with others than it is to see them in yourself, and I believe that it is easier to see bad things than good things in others, and easier to see good things than bad things in yourself.

But I suppose that kind of logic has been used to foment such a strong hate. I mean, between someone saying "I don't like furries, I don't care about them and all I want from them is not caring about me" and "furries are the curse of this world and I'm glad my son gave his life against them" there's some huge difference...!
------------------

Yes, the reactions of the people in the cafeteria were indicative of the fact that that particular cafeteria must have extraordinary food!
Nobody threw anything at anyone!!!
OK, maybe they're just REALLY nice people.

BTW, here's a little tidbit that's unimportant but kinda bizarre.
In the Massachusetts lottery game "Dialy Numbers", the 4 numbers drawn on the night of 12/31/2001 were 2-0-0-2.
Weird, huh?

have a hard time getting Sunblaze away from
