Hmm, your reason of why we use you instead of ye holds up except that thou is prounounced th-ow (ow as in ow I hurt my foot) and not thoo.

I am being extra careful! The laptop's
a ThinkPad, it will stay in standby mode for
only so long till the battery drains completely.
Then I should be able to open it and swap the
disk drive. (It'll probably be safe when the
books I piled on it stop being thumped, but
