Many new readers would have no clue as to who a lot of these characters are, especially in a year's time when there's no forum topics to give some clues. (I've been a reader for since last year and I some of those cameos still passed me by.)
I propose that when they get archived, each day's cartoon have a guide attached to it, listing who and where each character is who was not created by the Illustrious Cartoonist (with the sole exception of Catswhisker; if a new reader can't tell who she is and who created her, they need their cerebral circuitry adjusted). Another possibility could be a "Guest Appearances" page with entries (basically a picture from the comic as well as name of character and name of creator) linked to the appropriate comic strip.
If anyone out there has any other ideas that would entail less work for the All-Mighty Cartoonist than my suggestions, but would still get the job done, let's hear them. (He is a busy, busy feline, you know.)------------------

Actually, I was planning to do something like
that myself, once the actual cameos were all
done. But if someone else want to, it's okay
