The cartoon isn't a Pern story. It is about this person, named Peter, from early modern times that gets transported back in time by a wizard. At the beginning, the wizard ends up merging him and the dragon together by accident when an evil dragon attacked Peter. The wizard sends him on a quest with a knight and an old dragon that help by showing him how to be a dragon.

------------------

the Festival with the "Grandville March",
and although the melody is about the same
(it was originally written for military band)
the beat has been updated so that it is quite
a rocking bit of music. The Festival isn't
truly considered to have begun until the
"March" is played!

You probably didn't mean Charlie Barkin here, and my last posting (deleted now) libelled another Charlie altogether whom I hope either didn't see it or has a very generous sense of humour. Guys, I'm sorry. That's the problem with CB - he's got such a strong personality you tend to forget how many other Charlies there are. I've embarrassed myself more than once that way.

Charlie Dobbs is a blues guitar playing Bulldog I created a while back. He has made one brief appearance in Radio Comix and I am currently trying to script his story for either a strip in Keen or for short stories for Radio under the title "Emerald City Blues", which is proving to be a bit of a stumbling block (I think I can draw, but telling stories as rich and entertaining as "Gene Catlow"....ack).
Anyway the point of my rambling, Albert/Gene has been so gracious as to bring Charlie to life here; and for the purpose of, and fun associated with, this forum I refer to Charlie Dobbs as I would a friend. I remember seeing Charlie Dobbs on stage now. He looks quite a guy, and I'd hate to have inadvertently libelled him. Thinking of the other C, I'd made a smartalecky remark about 'copyright and creditor troubles'. I'll watch out for Charlie Dobbs and the 'Emerald City Blues' - he looks like someone worth knowing.

This fair sure does look like fun! I hope that there's an art show there. I look forward to the music and dancing.
Hmm.. I wonder if people would get freaked out by a muse with no face. I guess I'll just have to make her use a better hologram than that Ascii one if she goes.
------------------

Cool. Very cool.
I just hope there aren't too many of those modern artists there. You know the type, the ones that $h|+ and try to pass it off as art.
That just isn't right!
I do agree that there are some types of modern art that qualify as art, but only the ones where the 'artist' seriously put time and effort into it and not just slopped it together.

------------------

Yes, there will defintely be an art show, and
usually there's dancing during the musical
performances.

Unless the slopping itself makes a valid conceptual point, of course.
Seriously though, I reckon you're safe. I don't imagine Damien Hirst would be altogether welcome.
Ick.
------------------
