But at the last minute, it moved onshore and stalled. My mom was home at my parents' apartment(they had been married less than 2 years and had not had kids yet). My dad and a friend of his were at the Bosten Garden seeing a basketball game. His friend had went to the men's room and had looked out a window. The game wasn't over. He returned to his seat and told my dad it was getting bad outside. They both decided to leave early. They left just in the nick of time. A minute later, all the people at the Boston Garden had to stay there because the roads were too treacherous. I guess the snow was up to the roof of the cars by the time my dad slowly made his way home. I guess it was so deep, my dad couldn't enter the apartment building through the door. I think someone had to open a window on the first floor or my mom opened a window on the second floor. The worst winter storm I ever experienced was that monster one early in February of this year. This was before the overhyped storm which was bad but not as bad as they said it would be.The early February one was supposed to have started the night before. It didn't. When I woke up, it had not started yet. No snow had fallen by noontime. At college, I was doing a test and wondered where was this big snowstorm we were supposed to get. I looked out the window around 12:30PM and got my answer. It had started snowing and it was snowing hard. We got a total of 24 inches in 24 hours.

The diamond also doubles as a portable disco ball, when a strong light hits it, it makes rainbows of colors all over the place.
