Well, this seems like a safe enough topic to make my first post here. It's either this, or start fawning over Mr. Temple's artwork like some sort of drooling fanboy.
The origin of Punk came when I was trying to learn to draw (which I still can't do well... I have difficulty drawing water from a tap without great concentration). I was trying to draw a pic from Genesis Cook of a snake and otter. By the time I got done with the otter's head, it looked more like a tiger with a weird mohawk haircut than anything. In a burst of inspiration, I put a goofy pointy grin on it and christened him "Punk Tiger". The name and character stuck.
Which is a bit strange, really. I'm more of a dog person than a cat person (no offense, Gene... you're still the coolest cat I know).
Peace;

Gene Catlow is my character from waaay back.
(Before I even knew there was a furry fandom,
in fact.) My own personal toon feline, from
my early days of being a drooling fanboy
myself - only over the classic Hollywood
animated cartoons. (Not that I'm any less of
a fan *now*, but I don't drool. It's not
polite. ^_^)

Well Gene, you are a cat after all. Cats just don't drool(that much).
As for mine, I got part of it in high school. I would walk around the school and nobody would see me. Walk across the quad, invisible, walk down the hall, invisible. So my friends started calling me the ghost of the school and it stuck. Everyone else called me things less flattering, but that was just jelousy at my abilities.

"Well...to start with," churrs the otter, "my creator was completely unaware of the race of aliens in Marvel Comics that just happens to be called the Kree. Kree is a shortened form of my full name, Sasoorululish Kreelalinee - that's familial name followed by personal name in the Japanese style though the mustelids of my home world aren't particularly Japanese in culture - that would be one of the predominantly feline subcultures. Yes, quite an excess of thought to put into a character for Tapestries MUCK, but I was my human's first MUCK character, and at my core, my human and I share certain similarities, so I've endured. For the most part, I've been purged of the excess baggage that MUCK left me with and am more or less just a contemplative, fun-loving otter."
[This message has been edited by Kree (edited 03-04-2001).]

Okay, my name came from Redwall. I noticed that some of the moles (and one badger) had Urth at the beginning of their name (Urthclaw is one example) I simply took that, and added a reasonable ending, since I'm a mole, I dig earth, so I named myself Urthdigger. Also, I have a last name, Quickclaw (though I've recently discovered that in Pokemon G&S, there's an item called Quickclaw. I did not copy it from that. I had Quickclaw before G&S even came out), and as such named my airship "The Quickclaw (it's an FF7 joke, Cid Highwind's airship is called the Highwind). So, that's all about my name.
------------------

::chuckle:: Well, BreeAnn is my real name. My current nicknames among some of my RL friends are:
"The Hellmistress" Anyone who knows about my obcession over a certain demon child understands that one.
"Mouse" Both from the Reboot character, and from the fact that I make this really odd squeak whenever someone catches me off guard with a poke to the ribs. Nicole gave me that one.
"Quatre" PLEASE don't ask.
"Insane Pyro" Hehehehehe, fiiiiiire.....

Weeeeeelllllllll...... Veavitdpoh is pronounced VEA-ah-VIT-ihd-POH, and is actually an acronym, which stands for Very Evil Arch-Villain In The Deepest Pits Of Hell. It's more-or-less stolen from an old obscure Doom 2 mod, in which a character was named Veavitdpoh - or Very Evil Arch-Vile In The Deepest Pits Of Hell (the Arch-Vile being a nasty pyrokinetic bugger with a tendency to raise the dead). Now that I've spouted off entirely too much information, I'm going to stare at my Doom poster, chant psalms of praise to Romero (pre-Daikatana), and dream of taking pot shots off a water tower. Ta! *manic, malevolent grin*
------------------

Well, I thought up the name Fetch, and then found out that TY Inc named their yellow lab beanie Fetch. So I kept the name (and the plushie ).
the 26291 part comes from the Star Trek group I'm with. I'm in StarFleet International, and serve on the USS Ares, NCC-26291, Region 15

No, really, folks. When I post as Jen Aside, it's typically *AS* Jen Aside, because I am not Jen Aside, I am Julie... ah, nevermind.

How did my name come about? Ho boy, I wonder if I remember!
OK, it was back in 1999, during the spring (late spring, I think, although I could probably trace the name back to around early spring), and I was playing around with words to make Star Trek race names. I already cme up with something based on the name of an old singer, and then the next random word I chose was "cheetah". For my game, I remove all letters that appear more than once and see what's left. However, for some reason I decided to throw out only the e's, and I came up with Ch'tah. Nice name for a Star Trek race, right?
A few days later, I was growing tired of using "jmorph100" (I was a fan of Animorphs when I created that nickname, but "jmorph" was taken, so I added a "2" at the end. This was when Arcadium was still running. However, after I registered "jmorph2", I couldn't get back in, so I re-registered, calling myself "jmorph100"), and I wanted a new name. I was just being called "Jmorph" by then, so I decided that I didn't want to be known by a number. I remembered "Ch'tah", so I decided that should be my username. Unfortunately, when I tried to register as "Ch'tah", I couldn't use the apostrophe. I still use that as the name most people call me, but for an actual username, I came up with CWTyger, after a little brainstorming. The "W" originally stood for "Wulf", but now I just say it's for decoration. The "Tyger" part came about naturally, when I found I was most like a tiger. Since "Ch'tah" was a misspelling of "cheetah", I chose to spell "tiger" differently as well. CWTyger was born.
However, when I started using "Ch'tah", people would capitalize the "t". I decided that, instead of wrestling with them, I'd capitalize the "t" as well. Which is why I call myself "Ch'Tah". Besides, I liked it better with a capital T!
Yikes, I've been rambling!
------------------
