Thanks Spartacus and Dedos.
Yeah- you suck for going to Radiohead and not paying my ticket. Is it in Chicago?
I've never seen them live, but they're excellent.
Gorey- Yeah- hopefully they won;t all come out as "Ogdred Weary" as today's
------------------

God, that was awesome.
Chris, you were in Chicago? Oh crap, that's right, now I remember you posting that you'd be up here. Man, I really suck at meeting people.
Actually, this was the second time I've seen Radiohead. This time was much better, and the first time was awesome, so go figure.
------------------

Aw shucks
THanks Boxer. Much appreciated. Really.
I don't think this was one of the 'sneak-peeks' was it?...
It's always scary when you start something new to see if people take to it or not...
[This message has been edited by Burke (edited 08-02-2001).]

Thank god Im here.
Been a little while since there have been any Burkisms to while away the hours.
Glad to see that all is well and you are still frittering your life away on these 'comics' as you call them.
There was a big party in Leicester at the weekend. Alex and the collective were there, you were sorely missed. Ah I remeber such happy times.
And this, this 'The Grimbles' malarky is just the sort of thing I've come to expect from you! Take that as you wish (probably up the arse knowing you).
Hope things are reletively splan, I'm going to Germany for 6 months but that shouldn't bother the USA too much, depends very much on the things really.

No, neither one so far has been one of the
preview ones you showed a very few privileged
people, like me.
God in his hand. Man that's wonderful -
straddling the line between surreal and
believable deftly. It's hard to come up
stuff ever so slightly off.
------------------

I don't know if you're interested or not...
But I should actually put up a note somewhere that "GOd in his hand" came up during a conversation I had with a friend I was visiting in hospital.
We were talking, bullshitting as we were wont to do, and somehow we were talking about religious fanatics, and how you could always trump someone in a theological conversation by drawing God on your hand and have him correct people. Then of course, your interlocutor would say "That's not God...this is!" presenting his own hand-deity.
It was a lot funnier than I can convey here but i thought it would make good material for a comic strip.
------------------

Both of your comics are great. And, I wanted to be the post that set the little folder on the main page on fire. Because that's the kind of guy I am.
-=UNICEF's nightmare child=-

This really is great stuff, Ads. 'hand-o'-gawd' was also not among the ones I saw. You can drop the "badly drawn" self-effacing commentary now, because no one is ever going to believe you.
Boxer's right... 'grimbles' has a subtlety about it. It's just ever-so-slightly off, enough to make you squirm in your seat. I reiterate my comparison to Addams.
You're six feet down, and I think your shovel just hit wood, my friend. Does that actually mean anything?
------------------

Sorry I haven't posted yet. Not only have the KeenServers have been flakey, but my boss has been cracking down on non-work-related Internet use.
In any case, I'm here now, and really enjoy the new comic. A question, though, if you will...
You have mentioned that Diabolica will be going on hiatus, but I haven't seen any mention on what you plan to do with 10 Legs. Will you be continuing that one, or has it gone the way of Extrinsicus?
Pooga

Uh 10 Legs- good question.
I may very well go back to it, but I really want to focus on makin g the Grimbles as good as I can. IN addition, I don't want to do a whole bunch of strips and not update any of them. I've learned that if readers like anything, they like consistency and reliability.
So while I can't promise that the Grimbles will ever be any good, the current update schedule has me a month ahead already.
I am glad people liked 10Legs and Diabolica, and while I haven't abandoned any of them (I will round off the last Diabolica story I promise), I think the Grimbles is the format suited most to what I want to do, my abilities and the time in which I have to do stuff.
I did like drawing Cal and Ellie tho. They'll be back in some form, one day.
------------------
