Hey, I said I'd start again, didn't I?

Well, I'm still getting used to the new forum, but it seems relatively harmless. A new comic is up now, and I'm using my new "whitewashing" technique, cuz I still have a crappy art program.

There is a new poll up, and it now has a place to post things...much like this place. Interesting, indeed.

Later, peeps. Enjoy.

Loved it, man! It's good to have you back working again. Now if I just didn't have to wait to figure out what the hell is going on

Glad to see you back in action, Nathan!
Is this next week going to have a story told
in flashback, a la "Grounded for Life"?
Anyway, it's good to have you back.

On a tangent, what program are you using to
color your comics? If it's as crappy as you
say, I might be able to dig up some freeware
or shareware that'll be just that much
better.

Yeah, it'll be flashback format...a format I doubt I could pull off in print. But, hey, I'm not in print, so that's Ok.

As for the program, it's just the basic mspaint program that came with the computer. I've learned to use it, and am still learning to use it, but wouldn't mind trying something new.

Alright... Here we go:

Found a program a while back called D-Pixed. It is a drawing program that does manga-style shading and the like. It was basically a manga-maker program. Only does black and white, though.

There's a new one called Open Canvas. Haven't tooled around with it at all, but it says it supports 32-bit graphics (I assume that means color processing), layers, and "natural painting effects." Don Miguel (famous for his RPG Maker 2000 translation) has a translation of his program downloadable from any of his RM2K mirror sites. It is item #5 in his "what's new" list.

Lastly, there's VicMan's Photo Editor. Supports a wide range of file formats and even does special visual effects. Neat.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Jason.

I'll see if I can get any of these to work...so far they won't rotate my picture the way I need it to.
