I recently heard of a book series called Harry Potter by J K Rowling, they're suposed to be quite good.

I've never been able to properly get past the young adult section of the bookshops and am now at least old enough for people to think I'm shopping for a younger relative or something. Unfortunately the shelves are flooded with vampire novels so I stuggle to find anything new.

I recently saw Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief in a charity shop and bought it since I thought the film was vaguely ok. It was a good easy read that was I enjoyed, and having struggled to find anything new for years this was all I was after. I've never known a film version to change the plot quite that much though.

Now I feel like I've used "I" far too much.

May 25th approaches, and with it the beginning of my annual rereading of the Hitchhiker's trilogy. I think this year I'll include the semi-official Book 6 to change it up.

I am sick to death of my professional reading book. I feel like I'm taking a socioeconomics class and that the level of application to my job is about 3 or 4 paygrades above mine. And now that I'm in the Headquarters Company, I don't foresee anyone selecting a quality logistics related book because they just keep choosing generic "leadership" books.

I'm dying to read that "Dreadnought" steampunk book, it looks awesome and it sits on my bookshelf and taunts me.

Michelle tried to read Book 6 back when it came out... she got maybe about halfway through it before she had to put it down. Colfer was trying too hard to be Adams, and not really succeeding at it.

My thoughts exactly. It feels forced. But I got through it once and will give him another try this year.
