Maybe it's time for new moderators.

For discussions, announcements, non-technical questions and anything else comics-related or otherwise that doesn't fit in any of the other categories.

Maybe it's time for new moderators.

Post by Bustertheclown »

Coming to this board, and seeing spam posts hanging about for hours, even days or weeks, I was given to wonder whether or not any moderator with GD permissions were active anymore. Of course, the answer is that there are not. There are still active mods with OT permissions, like McDuffies, and that doesn't make any sense. Every GD mod has been MIA for months now. Once in awhile, we get visits from administrators, but that doesn't seem to be of much help.

So, perhaps its time to assign some new mods for General Discussion, or extend General Discussion moderation permissions to moderators who are still active. I think it would be helpful in keeping the CG forums from turning into the festering spamhole it is in danger of becoming.

UGH. D: NO.

To the tea party thing, I mean. *shudders* I could see appointing active mods.

Them, as well as Kolter, so the wiki is still right. Here's The Team roster, which lists everyone who has any control over a forum.

Appoint the OT mods as additional GD mods, and if that's not enough then yeah, we may need new mods. I immediately withdraw from any attempt to nominate me, my job took a turn for the super busy.

I was under impression that Kolter wasn't on GD. Only Robin (besides Faub who's been inactive even before Robin jumped in) and of course admins: Merc, Kisai and Kelly. OT was moderated by Kolter, Keff and me. There are also Yeahduff and Phact on other subforums, who've done very good jobs in their reigns.

All I know is that Kolter has Mod status for every major forum, and before his disappearance, it seems like he'd executed his abilities on GD. I could be wrong. He hasn't been around for months, after all.

You and phact have mod abilities in the main forums now since i didn't see yeahduff too active around here. i can add it for him too if you/he wants. i didn't know kolter hadn't been around or i would've added more sooner. you can't ban people but i still have the same email if you need me.

Thanks. Kolter's had some health problems, I think that's why he's been away.

Not to mention having a family. ;D Yeah, I think this is more of a 'we need more hands on deck' rater than a judgment of anyone.

Should I see the Mod options, in general now? because I don't have that option.

Yeah. I wasn't trying to call anyone out. I was just making an observation about who's around these days.
