First time I heard one of his (Justin Bieber) songs, I thought it was a woman. It didn't help that the entirety of the song lacked gender pronouns to indicate that it was, in fact, a male singing the song.

I will laugh an evil laugh when his voice drops and his career plummets. As is, I'm sure he's doing everything possible to maintain his range, probably even up to and including a kick in the balls prior to live performances.

I'm rather amused by this sentence:
At age 13, Cody Simpson is making his mark on the music world much like Justin Bieber did when he came on the scene last year.
Or rather by liberal understanding of the phrase "making your mark".
Why, he might even turn out to be as distinguished as The Collins Kids!

I don't know who Justin Beiber is, and that makes me feel morally superior to everyone.

All I know about Justin Beiber is he stole my haircut and made everyone hate it.

Teeny-bopper heartthrobs are as old as entertainment itself. I don't understand why everyone reacts so strongly every time a new one hits the scene.

It's especially funny coming from Godsmack fans. Yes, those still exist.

Spent four months thinking the lead singer in Beach House was a dude. Still a great band.

Does Godsmack still exist? Because that would be just tragic.

Godsmack is an American rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band comprises founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Shannon Larkin. Since its formation, Godsmack has released five studio albums, one EP, four DVDs, and one greatest hits collection.

The band has had three consecutive #1 albums (Faceless, IV, and The Oracle) on the Billboard 200. The band also has parked a ratified 18 top ten rock radio hits, including 15 songs in the Top Five.[1] Godsmack is one of the most popular heavy metal acts of the last decade in the United States, selling over 19 million records and counting worldwide.[2]

Since its inception, Godsmack has toured on Ozzfest on more than one occasion, and have toured with many other large tours and festivals, including supporting its albums with its own arena tours. In the summer of 2009, Godsmack toured as support to Mötley Crüe's Crüe Fest 2 tour.

As a filthy pinko, I take offense to that. Clearly, Cope is an agent of degenerate free-market capitalists.

Isn't that Laem? Cope's the one who blamed society.

I think that none of you realise full gravity of the situation that is this guy about whom the thread is, whotever his name is.

Okay now hang on, I actually like Godsmack, although I wouldn't call myself a "fan" per se. I wouldn't say they're heavy metal, though.

I'd put them into either a progressive metal or industrial metal slot, if there weren't bands that are so much better in both of those areas. I'm not really sure where to put them, but I don't think they're heavy metal.

On the other hand, I haven't really listened to any of their stuff for years, so maybe their sound has changed? Their music is very simple and tends to be sort of just noise, which sometimes I am in the mood for, but I've found other stuff I prefer for that...

Hmm... emo metal? Pop metal, maybe? Certainly nothing as respectable as Heavy, Black, Death, Industrial, Thrash...

I'm talking myself into thinking Godsmack is pathetic. How did this happen?
