Yes, it's that time of the year again!
Here begins is the 2008 edition of the Summer beauty pageant contest!

Like every year, you can enter one character from your comics into one of the following categories:
Miss - for all female character
Mr - for all male characters
Thing - for all those character that are either genderless or don't have a human-like anatomy

To participate you must enter:
o One drawing of the character in swimwear
o One drawing of the character in formal/winter clothes.
o A brief description of the character's skill and abilities.
o Answer the following 3 questions: (courtesy of Mattdennis)
1) What is your favorite flavor?
2) What\Who is your role model?
3) What's your life goal?

Remember: missing even only one of the above will make the participant disqualified.

YOU HAVE UNTIL 1st OF AUGUST TO ENTER YOUR CHARACTER(S). THEN THE POLLS WILL OPEN!

Rules:
* The character participating the contest must belong to an existing webcomic. Forum avatars, concept sketches of future comics and the like, may not enter.
* There can't be more than one character per comic participating in the same category. Characters from the same comic, however, can participate in different categories.
* If you enter more that one character, please make separate posts for each of them. (this is to make things easier later when i'll have to sort them out)
* Please don't make one post with the swimsuit picture, then an other one with the other picture and so on. Try to keep everything in a single post. (if you break this last rule, i'll hate you passionately and wish you all sort of bad things  )

Question:
My new webcomic is an anthology sort of operation, under which I'll put all of my creations, none of whom are actually related to each other. Since they're flying under the banner of one single title and location, despite not actually being of the same comic, do the count towards that "one character per comic" rule?

Here's an example. Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be posting comics from two of my print titles, Stuart Tickman and Those Two. If I wanted to enter characters from each title to a single category (Mr.) could I? Or would I have to just choose one?

Well, the rules state different comic, not different website.
So, you should be fine there ^^

I'm not hosted on Keenspace anymore. Can I still do this if I feel like it?

Can we do both formal and winter? Does the swimsuit need to be onepiece? What if my character is inanimate and from the future and thus has no concept of flavor?

???

Who exactly is judging this? What do they look for in a man/woman/thing? Is it cheating if we touch up our characters to make them more beautiful? What if a character lives in the Victorian era and their swimwear looks pretty much like their formal wear?

If it's Victorian era, aren't there supposed to be separate male and female swimming areas? In that case, can we submit a swimwear so that only members of the jury of the same sex can see the images?

Yes, yes, excellent.

...

Oh, these are serious questions, aren't they?

Ahem.

We are being judged by the forumites. Don't bother worrying about what they find attractive, they voted for a stick figure as Miss Keenspace one year.... Um, you certainly could touch up your characters, I'm sure, but you're better off showing us who they really are (perhaps at their most cleaned up), as at least a quarter of the point is to expose your work to the forum. With swimwear you have to be creative; hotness isn't the only thing, remember that.

I skipped out on this the last two years but I'm thinking of participating this year. So what if it's not human but is humanized? In other words a furry character. What category does that fall under?

Furries normally go in Mr and Miss category: aside from their face, they pretty much look like a normal human.
