Well, lets try this again (Choicecomics.net)

Post by Wadefade »

After a year of sorrowing (after being hacked, apparently with an AXE) and doing tons of other stuff in real life (and in the MMO world /sigh), I've actually got the fire back to work on Choicecomics.net.

I've had to purge the user database which cause the inevitable purge of the submitted webcomics. This is where I need you guys. Sign up again and Submit some stuff... and let me know all the errors you find and post them here. I am trying to prevent the past from repeating itself.

Thank you guys ahead of time :)

I like asking awkward questions, and I'm too lazy to check all your past posts!
1. Right, so you've got a comic referral/databasing/archiving/directory-style site?
2. What's the catch? Terms, conditions, rules, banners that need to be added to pages?
3. There is no 3, only Zuul.
3a. So how do I get it to work for me? I'm very impressed with the thumbnails for example.
4. Thanks for your efforts!

1. Yes/no? I'm not 100% sure where I'll end up with this site. Right now the goal is to have webcomics reviewed and rated like products. I am going to be working on an ajax-y details page where you can update teh description, tags etc on the fly once submitted.
2. No catch, if it is requested I can make icons to link back to your review page.
3. XD
3a. I guess I'll start developing some icons to link back to your review page. I really want the site to be somewhere you can get direct feedback to help your site appease more to you audience. Also, the more places your webcomic is linked from increases its presence on Google. Keep that in mind if someone Googles some comics.
4. I'm trying!

@Montyandwoolley
Yes, I even see you did some reviews. Good! Need more! :)

Yes, I see that I am awaiting validation from your username, I will resend the email. Please check to ensure choicecomics.net isn't going to the junk box. If it is put it on a safe list.

Resending...

Signed up and back in. By the way is there any way to update that thumbnail? The one that's up is kind of old.

Sorry, no. I'm pulling from an outside source and have no control of that thumbnail. I'll double check to see if there is a param I can pass that refreshes it.
