Didn't say he was a good hipster.
ps White Stripes are like nine or ten years old (now who's the hipster?).

White Stripes are far from blast from the past. They just made one of their best albums last year.

LleuGarnock is open for criticism. Although I should warn you - I have a large buffer, and I might have a tendency to shrug things off with "oh, I'm better at that now." I'll try to resist it, though. My comic's certainly not perfect, even the stuff coming up in November.
I know my coloring style is inconsistent, and I'm just starting to get the hang of putting characters into their backgrounds. Creative page layout has been suspended in favor of pages that make sense, at least for the moment. I'm especially interested in criticism about my characters' facial expressions and dialogue, and the storytelling overall. But whatever you see, if you think its subpar don't be afraid to point it out.

Re: Webcomic Hate
Well, I checked your comic out, and I'm ready to open fire.
Your lettering looks kind of kiddish, but I'm not one to talk.
The art is pretty good, but your characters seem to have trouble displaying their emotions effectively. I think you need to bring the eyebrows into play more. It may sound weird, but even the smallest differences in eyebrow movement can completely change (or intensify) whatever emotion they're supposed to display. Kudos on the shading, though. Even though your colors are a bit flat, when you go with shading it looks good.
The story is pretty cool so far. Can't wait for more updates.

Yes...eyebrows. I can't seem to get the hang of them. I know how important they are but it's hard to know what they should be doing. I might as well mention my limitation - I have Asperger's, a type of autism. I try to pay attention to eyebrows but real people's eyebrows really don't move as much as cartoon ones, and when I exaggerate them it often seems overdone to me. I know how to do things like angry, happy, sad, and surprised, but I often think a person should look thoughtful or confused or frustrated or something subtle like that and I draw the eyebrows with a squiggle in them or a little tilt and it comes out completely different than I meant.
Thanks for the commentary - I'll be paying attention to the eyebrows around me this week.

All right i have been busy as heck this week. Wendybird, I checked yours first. Not bad. Your backgrounds mesh with your figures better in later pages than they did at first. your people do have facial expressions but if you want a cheater way to increase the emotive potential- ears! dude, nobody ever makes elf ears move. Why not? They could totally do the whole cat radar thing. Also, and i see this a lot, posture from the waist down is a bit rigid. Anyway, better than a lot of stuff out there.

OK since Pimpette was nice enough to be the first after us crazy noobs to volunteer for this nonsense, and nobody has let loose on those comics yet, I will. I will say though, that since there is years of material there that I didn't get through all of it. The early P&A art is. . . kinda hard to take. frog's very existence annoys me for some reason. Probablay because he looks like he should be on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends or something. But, the setup is creative and i actually didn't have a hard time following the story as you implied might happen. My only "wait, what?!" moments arose as a result of the art not being all that clear early on. Even in the early art though, there were good points. I like the hell dragons. They look like loaches. This is a good thing, since they don't wind up looking like every other dragon ever drawn. If the hand lettering was unprofessional looking, well, at least it was clear. I could read it just fine 99% of the time.
However, if you really want to be a great artist, the only way to get there is by drawing a LOT. Every day a lot. Webcomics will do that to you, and holy crap has your art improved, by at least a power of ten. Senanigan may turn out to be really good. Like you said, it's early and hard to tell, but your art style suits it, the title character is really interesting looking, the facial expressions are well done, and oh yeah- Batman annoys me.

Re: Webcomic Hate
Thanks!
I always worry about the storyline, it's good to hear it isn't entirely incomprehensible.
And yeah, the old art is really terrible. For a while I wanted to go back and redraw the whole thing ... but I've decided to save that for the print books.
