Depends on where you host it.
If you use http://www.imageshack.us then once you upload an image, it'll give you a bunch of different code options. The last one is a direct link to the image.
If you use photobucket.com (registration required) then you have four different options - i use the 'direct link' one (second) but you can also use the html or forums codes.
If you use a resource like http://www.ripway.com (registration required) then you only have one option (direct link) but you can also use other file types, not just images. You can use zip files if you want to share chapters worth of comics in a single hit, or mp3 files if you have audio recordings (like a podcast) talking about your comic.
You can also use a service like divshare.com which is more generous with it's bandwidth, but has fewer file options (ripway will allow php files, divshare won't).
