if I was in the UK (which I should have been by now, damn Immigration) I'd do it, then again I should be there in a month if I get my visa so I may still do it

Damn, why do I have to live in the second largest country in the world. Canada, were huge, any conventions we have force us to travel usually over 2000 miles!
All the great comic conventions are always in the states any ways, and I dont have a passport...
Oh well, cool stuff, maybe when I get around to going to Europe I'll stop by...you know, just check every thing out!

The stuff outside the event is waaaaay more fun than the event itself.Komiyan wrote:I'll likely be there, but I dont have a lot of interest in rushing out stuff for a table this year.
Wish I could go again next year, but sadly I am mired in this most loathed of countries.
Also since the dollar is in the shitter, traveling abroad has become the distant dream of a raving lunatic.

Indeed, I'm undecided as to whether it's worth me getting a table for the next one. I still have most of my stock from the last time, so that would be considerably less expense, and I get any comics I make printed for free, thanks to a very useful contact.
Either way, if I get a table I'll be there, and if I don't get a table I'll be there anyway, simply to show my face and partake in the funzies.

you fool! this would be the time to FIND OUT ABOUT whatever the thing is!Redtech wrote:For my point, no offence to everyone attending, but I don't "know" you:
I keep imagining I'll be running around watching people go "Sweet! The artist of London Massive is here" while I just blankly go "Who?" over and over depending on comic title...
I went and visited some people from another forum I was on the last time I went to the States. Apart from the forum, I'd never met them. I had a great time, though, and now that they know me and don't think I'll murder them in their sleep, I'm welcome to sleep in the guest room the next time =PRedtech wrote:For my point, no offence to everyone attending, but I don't "know" you:

Far as I can see, this is going to be an opportunity to actually get to know the people behind the forum accounts and comics.

I first went in 2005 and knew nobody there, in '06 i was exhibiting with one person i knew, and talked to a few people i had met at the previous one. '07 i bumped into a school friend of my brothers i hadn't seen for years
. '08 i will hopefully be exhibiting again, if i ever get around to buying £85 worth of university library copier credits and finding a scratter-free corner of it at night to do my copying in, that is.

I MAKE MANY COMICS / Some are on paper! / Used to have one on Keenspace too...
