Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Hello everyone! I just put up my comic a few days ago, so I figured I should say hi to the neighbors. Hi!

I'm have read your comic and confirmed you are not spam...I'm not really sure what to do in this situation, I don't think it's happened before.

Ah, "Hello! Fellow web-comic author. Welcome to the forum."
I'm impressed with the completeness of your website for something so new. My "Links" link has been dead since I put it in months and months ago (really should do an "Under Construction" page if nothing else).
Oh and the positioning of your navigation buttons freaks me out, but that's just because no one likes change.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Thanks! I haven't eaten any spam since I was a kid so I should be like at least 99% spam free at this point. It seemed like a good place to put the navigation since my comic is long format and folks don't like to scroll too much.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
The positioning's weird 'cause comic reading takes the reader from the top-left to the bottom-right of the page, but then they have to backtrack to the top-left to continue. That's why webcomics pretty much always have their navigation buttons directly below the pages. Although, I think part of the issue's that the pages are pretty small. They should probably be around 50% larger to show more detail.
And hi!
And hi!

I don't know about others, but I find scrolling a really fun and challenging activity.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll fool around with the layout and see how it looks.

So I moved the comic nav down to the bottom of the page and blew up my images some. Hows it look now?

Okay, not a new member, exactly, but a dumbass who somehow missed the 'user name must begin with a capital' in the many help topics in the wiki. So hi, again.

@McDuffies: I'm a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons and Sword & Sorcery stuff in general.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
I never bothered making a new account. I do have access to the wiki though through my old account from years ago. If I ever get my head in gear and make an entry that is.
I have the highest post count of anyone with a lower case username too. I'm proud to have achieved something with my life! Even if it's simply that I managed to scroll through the members to find that out.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Hello and welcome, my friend (and to you, too, Shucking Oysters)! That is a pretty sweet comic you have there. Mine, OTOH sucks ass, as LibertyCabbage and RobboAKAscooby can tell you. But that's alright; I've come to terms with my own suckiness.chainmailbikini wrote:Hello everyone! I just put up my comic a few days ago, so I figured I should say hi to the neighbors. Hi!
I could never get the damned system to work for me, so I just gave up and decided to post stuff in the Doodles thread instead.robotthepirate wrote:I never bothered making a new account. Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Ugh. Well I think I have officially screwed up. There is another older web comic called chainmail bikini already. I don't think it's updating anymore but still, I guess I'm going to need to change my name. Any advice on what to do about this?

edit: Oh and thank you for the compliment peterabnny.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Don't bother with the name change, it's not very likely you'll have troubles with that, and even if you do, you're in the clear, it's not like anyone has trademarked that name or anything.
