Keenlace Lives!

It's the most wonderful time of the year once again. Your favorite Keenspace characters in nothing but their undergarments shamelessly objectified to garner hits.

This post is meant to start the conversation, to get those pencils moving. No need to post any pinups here, just talk about things, see if we're interested in doing this again this year.

EDIT: Yes, we are doing this this year. You don't need a comic, and you don't need to be on KeenSpace. Send it here:

I thought this took place during the summer, but then I noticed the "started on February 14th" at the bottom of the archive page. It's been a while; I forgot :P Just a "oh yeah, it IS time to start talking about it!" moment.

But yeah, scantily-clothed people ftw.

Is it that time again already?

I'd love to enter but . . . my buffer. . . it's still so low from the Holidays. :(
I'll see what I can do.

Wait....this generates a lot of hits for your comics? Sorry. I'm just suddenly feeling inspired to draw stuff for this for some reason. *plots*

Hmmm... I'm having difficulty reconciling my desire to draw some skin with my ethical issues with objectifying people...

Ah, screw it, I want more readers. *Starts drawing bikini-clad Hannah and Lightbringer.*

*looks at comic* ....this is the downside of having no human characters. .....ah why not. Maybe It'll work on the furries.

Well, more just a thong. I'm thinking it'll off-set the objectivication of a female if I objectify a male right alongside her.

Never underestimate the popularity of bunnies in bikinis.

I would feel bad having my character prancing around in hardly anything on. She's only 15........

Well, I guess that's not too bad.

My female char has tiny boobies though! :(

Oh well, time to draw the obligatory semi-naked male then. (I know I need to draw a comic..eventually!)

My characters are eleven.

I thought about jumping into this last year but more important things got in the way, as they are wont to do. Casper and Cody can pop up in their bathers or something, I'm sure. I mean, I've probably done about thirty odd strips of them in such situations already, it won't be that much of a stretch.

Fanservice though... if you're looking here to find kids in little clothing then I think you need to stay away from children full stop, eh?

I'll see what I can muster up.

It all depends on how it's done. You can draw hawtness while still respecting the characters/your audience/humanity in general.
TRI wrote:Never underestimate the popularity of bunnies in bikinis.
Sure. Everybody loves a bunny in a bikini, but one vole in a halter top and I'm kicked off "webcomic battles".

I'll have to take part in this... I promise, my entry will be absolutely nothing like this:

Do you have to be hosted on Keenspace or Comic Genesis to enter?

I'm hardly official but these things usually have more to do with who hangs out on the forum rather than who's comic is hosted by CG.
