And here it is! Mort sent it to Stinky via snail mail so it would be a complete surpirse, and Stinky wrapped it up for me and everything, so it was officially my first Christmas gift of the season!

The Mortician wrote:And what about the people who get shafted? What do they get in compensation?
They'll be able to spank their secret santa with a wet trout.
Great. Now there are people who will intentionally miss the deadline.

Just so everybody gets something? I'll even volunteer

Or, we could do something like that. I think that's a reasonable suggestion.

Most tactful method
Post a list of the shafted.
Volunteers pick out a shafted individual to un-shaft with art.
Shafters will not be published but you keep a private list, as not to let them in next year.

Shafters should be shamed! Let their names be known!

But shafters are complicated men, and no-one understands them but their woman.

And yet it still might be possible that nobody gets shafted.
Lets withhold the punishment of the shafters untill they have shafted their shaftees.
Lets not turn this into a shafter hunt people...

Linkara: I can't update my comic in my current condition, so I'm unsure at the moment if i'm going to be able to get that fanart on the due-date. It will be done, and no ones getting shafted from me....but I can't hold a pencil and I'm not drawing it with my left. My secret santas this year are all awesome, and I'm not giving them half assed crap.
Cortland suggested I get a stand-in artist. I may have to pursue that. I'll let you know over the next couple days.
(My drawing hand was crushed under a heavy metal cylinder at work that fell off a machine and sandwiched my hand against a machine I was working on.)
Good news though! I managed to move a finger last night...which made me almost cry, BUT IT MOVED! So I'm wagering it's heavily bruised, as opposed to initial fears of requiring surgery or...losing it. :S

Tdot: Oh goddess.... I hope it heals alright, and that it's not badly crushed. *hugs* I can't even comprehend how that'd feel. Not being able to draw for any period of time would devestate me. If there's anything I can do to aide ye, let me know.
As for the volunteering..... I'm relatively sure I can help. I've got a lot of stuff I need to get done afore January so I don't have to worry bout my comic. But since I'm gonna take a pause when I finish chapter one. I think I can swing making some stuff for people who need it.

In which case I'll give special dispensation to ensure you don't get shunned. ^_~
And having fill-in artists is a great idea. I'll probably put together the list of people who still need to give out fanart soon enough.

Leave us shafters alone!
Atleast me...I'm doing it...exams just take priority to colouring.

Well....I didn't want anyone to get shafted because of my current plight of hand. *pauses for a moment to appreciate that pun

* so if i have to, I'll do whatever it takes to make sure my buddies i got for my Secret Santa assignments get something for Christmas.
I wasn't aware color was a requirement though. I typically work in black and white.

Woah. That's terrible... I hope your hand feels better soon. In the meantime don't worry about the SS.
