Beginnings

Looking for examples for another possible Comixpedia article again. This time, I'd like first comics - which I
could find for myself but it'd be a lot easier to have them linked and listed in a single thread so I'm going to get you guys to do the work.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for in a first comic?

I'd rather not go into detail. I'm looking for examples of good and bad beginnings but also reasons why they are. By collecting as big pile and mentally critiquing them as I go through, I might spot some reasons I havn't thought of yet.
Also, I figure it's dead easy just to drop in a "first comic" URL for your own comic. It's not like last time where you'd have to search around for what I was looking for.

Here's my first if you're looking for storyline pages. It's really more of a chapter page, though.
And
here's the first RotD if you're looking for gag-a-day pages.

Ah, that's understandable, Joel. Well, I'll just drop a link here, then, and be on my way.

(I don't think the title page counts. It bears mentioning that the page linked above appeared *before* the title page was uploaded.)

First page is a cover sheet (which I just realized probably should be redone...)

Second page is where the comic actually starts.

Hm. I should mention something about title pages, though. That's relevant.
But, yes. First actual comics.

is the first strip of the current pointless.
For a laugh, you can look at the first comic I put on the internet:

Hidden behind the fake first button.

It's really neat to re-visit these first comics, eh? -- I mean, and see how much our styles have evolved.

Yes, I believe I made a thread about that a while ago

Neat or painful, depending on how you look at it.

My first comic can be found
here. If it's of any help with your exercise, it and the next few are replacements for
this.

Well, it's painful to look at my own first stuff, but I find it inspiring to see amazing artists who started off at about my level of artistic mediocrity.
