No, not really. Three a week is not too hard when you can get one finished in less than two hours usually at most. If I can squeeze two out over the weekend, I just need to find a few hours after work through the week and I'm all square. I can still get a weekly indoor cricket game (and now apparently a weekly Saturday outdoor match) in regularly and the kids aren't suffering with their learning because I think I'm more prepared for the classroom than I've ever been.
Actually, I've been using the kids' silent reading time after lunch (20 minutes or so) to sketch out some panels when I get the chance (if I don't need to listen to certain kids read one on one) so I've been getting home with sometimes half a strip already drawn, which makes it easier. It keeps the kids interested too, which means I can bring the characters into my work environment too. Nice little bonus.
I wouldn't want to be putting out more than three a week though. I'm pretty sure I've got a good, easy balance going so there's no reason to rock the boat, eh?

Wait. I think I just naturally procrastinate. Oh well.
Hear, hear.
Heck, I'm putting off sleep right now!

putting offf working on the comic to read comics...
putting off reading comics to read a book...

I dunno'...I don't really differentiate between the two.
Drawing the comic is part of my life.

Replace "read comics" with "looking at youtube" and take away the "read a book" part, and you have exactly what I'm doing right now.

Ha... since I only work at a family-owned part-time seasonal business, doing the comic IS my main work. That God my wife and family supports me on this though.

Hey, gotta have priorities, right? Most of us just put artistic endeavors very high on the list. Just remember, the life of the hermit artist is still a life. It's just a lonely, tortured life.
Now go out and get some sun, before it goes away for the winter!

Good advice to most... though, I live in upstate NY and up here Winter is pretty much arrived. We've had sleet/hail the past couple of days. But to avoid my wife making fun of my recently added belly, and while she's away visiting family in Thailand for another month and a half, I've been working out once a day for the last two weeks. As long as the comics don't take every second of your life, then they can't hurt... especially for those of us who want to/plan to make a career out of it.

Last night, I spent four hours working on my comic when I really should've been reading or working on assignments. I can't say that my social life is interrupted by my comicking, mostly because I make a conscious effort to, eh, go out and do things with people(!) once in a while instead of sitting around, hunched over the tablet.

Lately? Not really. The only thing I sometimes put off for doing my comic is going to bed at a decent time. And that's just cause I'm in the lazy grind, otherwise I couldn't be bothered to sit and draw at 11pm.

I wouldn't be surprised if a good bit of us have cyberaddiction. I'm starting to think I do, in one way or the other. Even if I'm not chatting, or websurfing, or anything, the computer has to be on, with Firefox open, and the chat screen active. Otherwise, I get really....I don't know, bored and anxious. It's weird.
I mean, we put off important things for stuff online all the time. I wonder if we could go without for more than a few days. I know I can't.
Sad story, I know.

Nope; work, family and friends go above my comic. Many times I'll be working on my comic when a friend will call and say to come over, I'll drop the comic and go hang.
Pretty much the only time I can work on my comic when friends are around is when I hang out with Pimpette, Tynan or Keff.

Real life ahead of comic. Which is why I have frequent month-long hiatuses, natch.

Real life is a constant obstacle to me. If I had my wish, I'd draw enough to update daily. As it is, the only time I get to work on the comic is between 4-5 a.m. every morning. I've never had any buffer to speak of. I usually end up drawing and updating the same day.

Sometimes, but not often. I say to myself (because I have no inner monologue), "Man, I should be studying for that Stats mid-term." And I feel guilty. But then I realize if I DIDN'T have my comic, I still wouldn't study. I'd be procrastinating, surfing the web aimlessly, or looking at porn. Or all three. (Does that count as multitasking?)
Basically, the less I have to do, the less I will do.

I often leave things I don't feel like doing for later, in order to do things more interesting.

There's really no life to lose - 75% of my life is buried under alcohol-fueled dazes.
If I say yes, my comic will beat me.
You know your comic hates it when you personify it.

Eh, I consider comicking as a hobby or passion or something so it's not necessarily exclusive from "life."
But, I've definitely spent time on comics when I had more serious obligations at handle (specifically, school.) I imagine that anyone who hasn't isn't trying hard enough.
