Hey, so, this was weird. . .

I was checking my referrers list, and I noticed something really weird. There was a link from a site called Choice Comics. I've never heard of them, so I clicked the link, and it took me to the site. When I clicked on the link for "W" comics, it was the first one I saw. I never submitted to this site. Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't think you could submit a comic unless it was yours, but I tend to be naive about internet etiquette. . . [/url]

The guy who runs the site posted on the buzzComix forums inviting people to submit their own comics - or their favorite comics. So your comic must have been somebody's favorite. :)

You've probably got an outrageously psychotic fan, someone who could be lurking in or around your house right now. I think that as long as you keep a gun on your person at all times and never leave your bedroom, you should be alright. If you happen to encounter your stalker face-to-face, though, whatever you do, don't scream. It only encourages them.

I never registered at the Belfry or thewebcomicslist.com or comic-nation.com, but . . . there I am. Just readers doing you or me a favor. As far as I know the only comic-linky-site that requires that you be the author of the comic is onlinecomics.net.

Yeah, even if you submit your own site to thewebcomiclist.com, they'll let anybody modify your comic's description. That kind of creeps me out ;o)

Oh. I guess I should be flattered instead of creeped out, then . . . since the only person who lurks around my house is my brother, who's about as psychotic as a pigeon.

Pigeons can be pretty psychotic when they want to be...

:P Hi guys, I took a look at my referer list and found this too!

Sorry if I will be offending anyone. I do try to take peoples concerns into consideration when developing this site.

As it stands now I'm trying to develop a webcomic database FOR the users AND the creators at the same time. Alot has changed on the site recently and this weekend the site will be coming down for the implementation of forum.

I was wanting fans to submit, rate, share etc on this site along with webcomic creators to check back frequently and see the ratings the people have given them. It is in the works to have the 3 main concerns for webcomic artists be rated and pooled together with user comments for the ultimate feedback. Maybe if I change Comments to "Reviews"... HHHRRrrmm!

I was hoping to do ALL this and still make it easier for people to find similiar webcomics.

In the future if it becomes a rising concern that the webcomic description is being altered repeatable from something the artist put in there I can easily put a locked field onto the table. I can lock on request (in the future). I was thinking of having it more or less perform like a wiki though, if it is changed often to something else you see how users are interpeting your webcomic. Agian in the future, I may lock posts on request.

EDIT: My current roadblock for my site atm is getting a userbase. I know my site is still young (hell I'm still beta-testing...) but without the users to submit things and test my site... Sometimes I'm not aware of the error.. (BLAST YOU IE!!) Plus... some things don't quite look good like things with Rank 5.. 1 vote.. looks little odd! :P So if you can pop a harmless little link up on your guys/girls sites. As it stands now, anyone who gives me solid good feedback/critisism is getting a free 88x31 on the right side!!! ZOMG!

Thank you! I hope you guys enjoy my new site! Please give me feedback on what you think I can improve on. I am very open to suggestions (as you can see in the above ramblings!)

ZING!

Thanks for putting this site up. I've had good luck with thewebcomiclist.com so I'll have to try this too.
