I am actually trying to slow down my process because my manic tempo usually makes my pages look awful in the end. So I never pencil and ink the page on the same day, I leave it to rest so to catch some bugs that would otherwise sneak through.
Lots of time goes on drawing frames with the ruler. To save sanity, I usually draw baloons by hand, not with the ruler - they are square-with rounded corners baloons. Oh, btw, square baloons save a lot of nerves when lettering.
I also ink the most interesting frames first, the more boring and tedious ones save for later.
For writing, I find the program called Anthemion Storylines to be a lot of help.
