Comixpedia (comixpedia.com) is a website for and about webcomics with daily news, reviews, interviews and other features. We've been online since 2003.
Now site members can post news about their webcomics (or whatever!) at Comixpedia whenever they want. Just log in (or sign up for a member account) and click on create content to post a new "blog" post at Comixpedia. A great way to let new readers find out about what you're up to!
We just finished the superhero issue this April (with reviews of SuperSlackers, Dasien, Local Heroes and more) and next month is the Movies issue with cover art from Joe Dunn (Coffee Achievers, Joe Loves Crappy Movies)

Well the OP is Xerexes who founded Comixpedia, so it's legit as far as that goes.
However, Xerexes, people wishing to advertise something like this are required to get admin approval before posting and to indicate they've received that permission.

...so should we derail this, or let the mods handle it?

Dude. Mods have already handled it. Comexpedia's a good cause. This probably should have gone in the plugs section, but seems like no one knows that 'til they post here and find out at least once.

So don't be too down on it.

Just a note, I don't think it's a good idea to derail topics made in GD. If you don't think the thread is worth discussion anymore, just let it die.

Comixpedia is good stuff though. Great way to keep on general webcomic happenings and such. CGers should try to utitlize it.

Sorry to momentarily derail, but since he popped in...
Are you getting my emails Xerexes? If you haven't recieved anything from me since the April 27th then I don't think I can get through from
any of my email accounts now.
Maybe there's a "Joel Fagin" spammer somewhere...

He might not be, Joel. Xerexes hasn't responded to any of the emails I've sent since late last YEAR.

Well, he emailed me. I'm just trying to reply. It may well be that his email account has problems, though. I couldn't get through on my home account initially and now possibly not my Hotmail account either. Either is a bit weird but both, one happening after the other, would be truly bizarre.
Or he might just be busy.

Comixpedia indeed is a good stuff. It is good that all artists, both those unknown and well known, can now utilise that, rather well known resource, and letting them handle their own pormotion is probably the best way. Although, I had the impression that this has been possiple for a while now, maybe they've just got to promote it a bit more now.

I've been trying to join Comixpedia for a few months now and can't figure out how the heck you do it. I've got an account, fine, but I can't figure out how to add my site to all the fun extras.
It's probably a fun site, but I'm way to frustraited with it to bother for a while longer.
