Comixpedia causes blind rage.

I'm so pissed off, I'm just going to link to this.

Are there any other, better places on the web to talk about and promote ones webcomic?

It's hard to look at the subject from both angles based on just one post from you, but it seems to me that you overreacted a bit. You didn't even leave a benefit of the doubt that someone accidentally screwed your entry up.

How could they accidentally edit my entry?

I am overreacting, I know, and I'm in a volatile mood lately. But it's just the pattern of behavior that I can't stand. Why would I want to advertise on a site where I have no control over how I will be presented?

Boy, that's incredibly annoying. Incredibly, incredibly annoying.

Have you tried Online Comics?

I had looked at them, and registered, but I stopped when I saw that they require a link back to them be put on my comic's main page. My comic is pretty link-light so far, and I'd like it to stay that way, but maybe I'll change my mind in the future.

Thanks, though. I really am interested in hearing options.

As far as I understood it, the link back to Online Comics could be anywhere on your site as long as it's not on a hidden page somewhere. I don't have my link back to it on my main page, and I've been on there a couple years.

Yup. You just have to provide them with a link to the page where their button is displayed (i.e. proof that you have put the button somewhere) -- it can be anywhere, though most people just put it on the front page because it's the nice thing to do.
