Kinda curious as to what people usually use, whether scanning your handdrawn comics, using a tablet to draw/trace them, or doing it all digitally.

What's the difference between digital and tablets?

By tablet i mean tracing hand drawn sketches, digitally i mean doing everything on the computer with a mouse.

What im really asking is what do you use to get your comics onto the web, probably should have been abit clearer :)

I find a building with an outside wall devoid of signs, doors, windows, etcetera.

Then I spraypaint my comic on that wall. Frequently a comic will take up twenty feet or more of wall space.

I photograph my work.

I import my work into paint shop pro.

I convert it from a photograph to a fairly quickly drawn digital image by use of an intuitive chair/keyboard interface. This usually takes 30-45 minutes.

Finally, I submit my work to ComicGenesis and it shows up when scheduled.

I draw mine in the mud. Unfortunately, the transfer to the scanner doesn't work so well.

I've done scanning and tracing, currently tackling completely digital pics, with a tablet of course, drawing with a mouse would be killer. :P

I pee on the couch. It doesn't help with the comic, but if the cat can do it, then so can I!

I draw and scan. I don't think I could ever move from pencil to tablet. It's just not in me.

Ive found tablets a pain for tracing, mine's too small :(

No, it's on the table where you left it.

I draw and scan.

I have a tablet that I'm dabbling with. I may use it for a different comic since I want to keep my current one hand-drawn

Anyway its not as black and white as a simple either/or. It's possible to use all three methods (Scan a drawing, trace over bits with it with a tablet and digitze the rest).

So though I say draw and scan now, so many changes are made to it in photoshop that in all fairness I could say digital as well. I would say tablet as well but I find a mouse a lot more easier to control, so mine's collecting dust somewhere.

I've tried diffrent methods. now with my tablet no longer working like it should, I've been scanning in pencils, and inking with illustrator and a mouse.

They make some pretty small tablets, like 4 by 6 or something ridiculous like that.

I pitty da foo who traces his sketches on paper with a tablet. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, I TELL YOU!
I made most of my comics by drawing everything with tablet, starting from the sketch. Nowadays, I mostly do everything on paper and then scan. And then I print the scan and scan it again in order to resize the image.
