Has anyone heard if this is going again this year? And when it might start?

It's a bit early. I imagine sometime after Thanksgiving it'll come up.

Does anyone have the site link?

EDIT: If they don't do it this year, I suggest CG do their own version. I'd be glad to help put it together--with help.

I'd actually like to participate in that this year -- but you kinda have to have a comic. Maybe I'll just send fanart to random people. :P

I'd like to participate, but they don't even have the stuff listed from last year, so I have a feeling there won't be one this year. If Thanksgiving hits and there's nothing to show for on the site, ComicGenesis should have its own.

It seems the Christmas season starts earlier every year.

I talked to Litazia in the DD chat about this earlier actually. There is going to be one this year, she's even organizing a moderator team to help her out. There's also going to be a few new rules but nothing too strict.

Ho-yeah. I walk pass this dollar store everytime I use the subway to commute to school and do you know when they put the Christmas decoration up for sale? October 31st. Halloween wasn't even over and already they're selling Christmas stuff.

Rules're good. A few people get stiffed every year unfortunately.

What bothers me as much as much as Christmas starting too early is how soon people stop celebrating it. Advent starts on December 1st, Christmas is on December 25th, Boxing Day is December 26th and people start chunking their trees out on the 27th.

There are twelve days of Christmas. It doesn't end until January 6th.

Truely respectible people don't throw their tree out until Easter. And only then because it's a fire hazard. :)

In this one case, getting an early start on the project would be a very good idea.

OK, so how exactly does this work?

I mean, I don't really understand. We get someone's name and do what exactly? Do guest art? Buy them a shiny new bauble? Try and get them a date for new years?

You turn in your url to a third party, and then are randomly assigned to do a guest comic or piece of guest art for the comic you get. Whoever gets yours does the same.

You can also look on the link posted above for more detailed info, as I did.

It seems like a pretty cool idea, especially it's not "pairs" of people, but you getting someone and that person could get someone else, etc, etc.
