The idea that strippers and porn stars aren't "real" because of the personas they project strikes me as, well, idiotic. Everyone projects an image that conceals their true self. I've yet to meet a person where thought, word, and deed were all congruent. That doesn't mean the people who fell short of such perfection weren't real though.

Of course strippers and pornstars aren't real women. They're idealized parodies of women. Bikini models, prostitues (high class and low), supermodels, etc. are there to make you feel bad. make you feel bad about who you are and more importantly what you have.

is Tom Cruise real? there is a person with that name, but we don't know him. We know his image. who here is dating a stripper? once she's off stage, she becomes a real person, but when she is in the "act" of performing, she is an image, playing a part, unreal.

I'm unreal too. I'm only words. one day i'll grow up to be a real person, but i won't enjoy it until the medication has worn off.

The real Tom Cruze was actually a bloke who delivered mail on the Birdsville Track for fifty years during the Depression until the early seventies. 1800 kilometres one way along one road with nothing but himself to see him through broken axles, burnt out motors, snakes in the cabin and hours of heartless outback.

The movie star one's just a little squirt who never realised that he didn't deserve Nicky Kidman.

What if there's a stripper who actually likes to strip in public? What if the only reason she doesn't is because of persecution? Then it would be oppression by someone else's code of conduct!
