other comic making forums ?? :(

For discussions, announcements, non-technical questions and anything else comics-related or otherwise that doesn't fit in any of the other categories.

Why would anyone need any others anyway?

Drunk Duck has a nice community, but they are down a lot of the time.

Their forum was also hacked twice this year- though supposedly everythings set up so that won't happen again (at least not for a long time). Overall, things seem stable there now.

There are some links here. However, as it says, Keenspace seems to be the most active. Perhaps not the most constructive (he said, eyeing the jams) but the most activity, yes.

The Webcomic List forum is mildly active, if you feel like giving them a whirl.

Everybody may give you options now, but it's best just to sign up here and save yourself the trouble. After the KeenSpace Crusades begin everyone will be "Enlightened" and be inducted into the mighty KeenSpace Family.

I'm a Drunk Duck, Xepher and a Keenspace hosted person. So, I know some of the few webcomic communities available that you could try out.

Here're the few webcomic communities besides keenspace.

http://www.drunkduck.com (you get comments from readers on your webpage. You sign up now, you get to upload your comic instantly. No waiting required. So far, the admins have managed to minimize the downtime. And yes, the forum was hacked twice before but thank goodness for backups.)
http://www.nightgig.com (Quite a number of talented artists there.)
http://www.roxcomics.com (if you consider yourself good, you may go here. It's a selective process by the admins to decide if your comics are good enough to be part of the community.)
http://www.xepher.net (partial webcomic community site - no ads, unlimited space but a bit slow on the bandwidth)

There are plenty more you can search online. Good luck!

There are also mini communities that host forums for several comics but I won't name them because people will think I'm a pimp.

Why would someone come to Keenspace and ask if there are communities outside keenspace they could visit?

Huh. He's made two threads: One to pimp his comic, and another to learn of other comic forums.

Nope, isn't the least bit suspicious.
