I like bad english in comics. It adds character. It doesn't have to be asian comixors though, mintwhelp has some... interesting english some times. http://mintwhelp.keenspace.com

I hear people correcting my mom's english all the time, but telling ehr that she can't say 'wood' and not helping her annunciate it reallly doesn't help.

I am, though I was born here so I have no big issues with neither pronunciation nor grammar. I tend to mummble though, so no one understands me anyway.

My mom is Jamaican and her english still isn't great. I like to tease her by always correcting her.

My mum's Malay, I used to stress out at her for saying filem instead of film, but then I realised it's actually spelt filem in Malay and that nobody really cares anyway since it's perfectly understandable. Hurrah! And then I call my friends stupid when they don't understand her normal speech. Friggin' re-res.

As for me, I'm just quiet.

My parents are both serbian, but they've been here so long (and i've been correcting them for so long) that they are very understandable. Mostly I have to correct them on sayings, I'm struggling right now to think of an example, but I can't come up with one. Their spelling however is always interesting because of the phonetic nature of serbian they often write english words phonetically and so I had to beg them to leave me notes in serbian because it's just easier to read than trying to decipher what they meant in english. My mother once wrote "HEPPY BIRTHDAY" on my birthday cake.

Even though my dad is Thai (which make s me half thai), my mom still pronounces it like "Thigh."

I may be a Chinese, but I certainly know how to speak and write the Malay language. And yes, film in Malay is read as filem.

I may be a Chinese, but I certainly know how to speak and write the Malay language. And yes, film in Malay is read as filem.

My parents are both American, but my dad and I have a tendency to mispronounce things either for comic effect or to make things easier to remember. So sometimes Dad and I will end up going to the store to get "fillum" for the camera ... stuff like that. One of his favorite sayings when I was a kid was "I think you put the emfassis on the wrong suhlobble."

Chan Chob luk kreung ka. (for you non-thai speaking people, "I like the half thai/ half whities")

there's this chain of oriental resturants called "wok and roll" here where I live. and so its become something of a saying in the local scene to mispronounced "rock" as "wok". Not sure why... even the asian kids do it.. its more of a slang thing than humerous now though.

Back about the original question, I had the same thing happen to me last week... Someone submitted my site to the webcomiclist before I was ready. I didn't have much stuff up and so I've been kinda forced to spend more time making my site not suck than I had originally intended... which actually isn't a bad thing. I'm not annoyed though.. I'm just happy to have a fan I have been a bit... er... surprised... by the requests for Picatrix Porn, though

Yeah, I should probably have mentioned I'm in the UK and that my mum's normal speach is now actually English, she's just heavily accented but I don't notice it worth a bob. So, ya'know, always surprises me when a mate doesn't understand her.
