While I'm thinking of it would anyone mind me putting in an ad for my website? I know it's not a comic, but it will fill space and whore my comics at the same time. Everyone wins!

You know what a good idea would be? everyone throw up a color picture of their main character so its easier to know who/how to draw for teh covers.

he should have blue eyes, also

Ive got an idea all done and ready, I just need to know what everyone looks like

I don't have color pictures of any of my characters. I've never drawn them in color. I'm also far too lazy to draw them in color specifically for you people.

Sethmire Quickhoof, however, is my favorite character. Him and Mikayla. So I'll describe them. Seth is very short (like three and a half feet or so, at least a couple of heads shorter than the average) and he's got goat legs, horns, a bob tail, hooves, pointy ears and a goatee... like the devil, but not red-skinned and minus the spade tail. He's also blonde, though the fur on the lower half of his body is red-brown. Usually smirking, because he's evil like that, and he doesn't wear any clothing but his fur.
Mikayla has red, frizzy hair and wears half-circle spectacles and a speghetti-strap shirt. Often seen carrying a screwdriver with which she inflicts pain upon people. Hehe.

There. Now I don't have to draw them.

Yeah, zorro's outfit is different than the color ones I have, but I really don't care what color it is. He just needs black hair. That's as picky as I get. (Jeans for pants would be nice too, but I'll accept whatever (mostly)).

It's an older drawing and he doesn't look like this anymore, but the colors are the same.

I drew a 30 second sketch of my cover idea (missing half the cast). Since the paper needs to be aligned vertically I might move it so the bear is dead center and have people peeking around his shoulders, whatever. If you all like it, I'll make a cleaner version.

For main characters, see my avatar. As for color, black and white is fine. They've never been in color before, and I've no clue what they'd be in color. Therefore, they don't get any! *evil laugh*

OK, soooo.....
I thought I was getting close to done with my cover idea.....
Then I took a look at the forums and a bunch of new people joined in while I was off doing the drawy draw. Serves me right
SO back to the drawing board....or something... for me.

BUT, hey why don't you all take a look at what I've got to show for myself? suggestions are lovely.

A couple comments:

I would make the characters larger on the page. Fill the bottom half with them and leave less of a black border. It's okay if they get chopped off a bit on the edges. It just makes the cover look bigger than it is. Actually, it would be better if there was no border around the edge.

Check out some of the title fonts over at Blambot and don't forget to leave room in the top left for the K logo.
