What caught my attention whilst watching other people draw is how they start.
Ignoring all the construction-line weanies, I was surprised by how many people drew characters with a face outline first as opposed to inernal features. It was very interesting...
Anway...
Don't you hate it when people do? ...and...

Yeah, I've never been able to start with a face outline... Messes me up horribly to do that, yet most people seem to do it.

If I don't draw the head outline first, the proportions on the entire body are screwed up for me.
