I know that a fake MtG card was once deployed with me on it. The "description" on the "card" was: Halves the value of all angst in play.
What are we shaking fists at?

Angst as defined by OED:
Anxiety, anguish, neurotic fear; guilt, remorse.
Hmm...I'm tempted...

I don't hate angst itself... but I hate the fact that it's trendy. And when it's trendy - you know, you have people who are being angsty for no reason whatsoever, and all over. I mean, you have Pink singing angsty songs and all...

German humour is never tacky -- ahah! Withdrawing your posts - you admit, the German defeated you, you surrender! BWAHAHAJAJAJA!
May I note that I am not, in fact, talking to myself. Thank-you.
And, uh, yeah, what mcDuffies said: Angst (in whatever language) can be good; Trendy is often bad.

At least, this is how it's always been in my experience: young angsty people are usually cool; old angsty people remind me of homeless bums, or at least of people who should be homeless bums. They're scary. (Kinda like Senor Cardgage)

Yeah. Once you get out of your early twenties you can still try to be angsty, but people will just think you're cranky. On the other hand, eccentric will last your whole life.
