I thought you had to cut their head off to get their powahs.

Anyway, my avatar's always been me. It can't be a character from my strip, as I don't have one. So basically I have 100% affinty with the personality belonging to my avatar, as it was mine to begin with.

EDIT: Oh yes, and this current version was drawn by PeppermintAfterlife, and it's a gajillion times better than anything I could do, so I might never change it. MWAH HA HA HA HA HA! :END EDIT

For the most part, I've used some sort of dog, wolf, or puppy on the boards I visit. In some ways, it fits me: willing to do nearly anything for affection, constantly showing off, easily scolded, will eat food if it's there, and gives a pretty nasty bite if hassled too far (at which point, you can tell the authorities and they'll have me put down).

My avatar is a character of mine that goes way back. Before I could draw characters who in any way resembled anything. Other times I will use other cute characters for avatars.

So, what does this reveal about my personality? I dunno - I like cute things?

This picture of my avatar is a model from a game I was working on, so I guess that reveals that I like games. And making them.

Avatar personality? Let's see, my avatar has been a yorp ever since I came here. If you know Commander Keen, yorps are bouncy and smile all the time. Kinda describes me.

I have to say, LAGtheNoggin's avatar has long been one of my FAVORITE avatars of all time. It's so delightfully politely in-your-face! And also a little scary.

Mine came from a suggestion a friend of mine made to combine my four favorite things in one picture. And there they are.

My old avatar was just my character from my comic... I seem to have, however, taken on the form of a noseless-mouthless entity :P

When I look at everyone else's posts, I imagine them saying the words with the emotion conveyed in their avatar.

It would be a travesty if you didn't do so. Fallen enemies provide the best nutrition you can find.
And you gain their power.

interesting topic.
<---a bamf is a cartoony version of nightcrawler that dave cockrum drew for one issue of x-men.
I like the x-men cause they have that whole angle of being "hated and feared" for who they are, but they try as hard as they can to save the world anyways. nightcrawler kinda epitomizes that. I like to think of myself as a bouncy female vegetarian younger smaller lesbian nightcrawler. yep.

Aww, you flatter me! But I can't take all the credit, I couldn't have done it without Mr.Bob here, give him a round of applause! Nobody appreciates him that's for sure, all that creditless hard work in the background, and all without giant threads in his honour, or songs, or even fan comics. Man, more people should be like him: Quiet, dedicated, and letting me spruce things up and take all the credit. A perfect role model for us all! So for just these two and a half minutes, let's think of the little man. *toasts*

Well, I started with cat avatars as a joke, but iconic avatars are so catchy that the cat thing got stuck on me quickly (I mean, as soon as Mr.Bob made a group picture where we were all killed by War, and in which I was a stylish cat). But a constant cartoon persona has a lot of good sides really, be it a cat, a human or a bar of soap:
-People remember you more easily.
-People draw you more easily and more reckognizable.
-People more likely decide to draw you and put you in group pictures.
-They don't have to pick your picture from your site or somewhere.
-They wont mix you with your comic's character (for those who use comic characters as avatars)
-Gives you plenty of oportunity to joke.
-Just count how many fanarts Soap or TLH got since they got their avatars.

But it's not really correct to talk about "forum persona". I am what I am, I don't pretend to be more cat-like, and if I am a cat, I am worst cat in the world, because my personality is not cat-like and I certaily won't constantly pretend that it is.

Ooo. Maybe I should update that. You see, until this summer I lived in Wisconsin...

But there aren't any They Might Be Giants songs about corn!

After reflection on this thread, I think I need a more interesting persona.
