Y'know, I was wondering that myself. The webcartoonist population does seem to be awfully concentrated towards the north. Maybe all the noseeums are transmitting some sort of virus.

Are there any Keeners out there from Calgary? We could have a minicon. Or at the very least, drink coffee and complain about all the other posters behind their backs.

I'm in Michigan... half-hour from Windsor, you say? It may be possible for me to swing that.

...Or is it Canadians only?

I guess the Ad Astra convention is out of the question for a Toronto-area get-together, seeing as it's in early April.

Anime North... bleh. If I could just get that panelist guy Steven Savage to go to Ad Astra, I wouldn't have any reason to go to Anime North at all.

Or did I read that wrong?
Yep, perched just on the cusp of Mississauga and Etobicoke.

CN-Geek Expo is the 26th-28th weekend in Toronto at the metro convention centre and is definetly the superior convention. I'll actually have a table there again this year.

Cons are too expensive. And too anime. I even LIKE anime and manga.

When Damonk and I buy a house, we'll have an Ottawa webcomics house party, promise. Of course, we do regularily hang out with people we know from webcomics anyway.. and never talk about webcomics, so that will be the rule. And no "Sad *insert anything* in snow" jokes. Or discussing page views or readers or how to get on keenspot. We will just play poker and I will take all your monies!!!

And I will put doilies all over the house. Just because.

Hey, I'm not even Canadian! Damonk's from New Brunswick, though. But I <3 Ottawa, though the cold is really.. uh... overstayed its welcome. I'm ready for Spring now. Any day...

Seriously, doilies. I want the old lady house when I'm young. When I'm old, I'll put up all my band and movies posters or something. And line the walls of the den with egg cartons. Rock on!

I used to crochet doilies. Then I started drawing a comic. Who's to say which is a bigger waste of time?

Welcome to Canada, where spring doesn't start until summer time.

(Actually, weather may be different in Ottawa...)

I think the world needs comics MADE out of doilies! This could be your calling!
