As long as there are bugs to be squished we will still be around.

I wrote a poem about squishing a bug once.
I hung it on my wall.

Bugs are important.

The poem or the bug?

Speaking of bugs, I found a silverfish in a package of ramen once.

Well this is more of the onicient RKolter's territory so I'm sure he knows more. But they have managed to fertilize a genetically empty egg with the DNA from 2 sperm. So a consenting female isn;t all that necesary anymore.
That'd make M&M happy, if it was true.

It is true. Actually scientists have had far more luck using two female eggs. In fact depending on if the human cloning restrictions are lifted in much of the known world it could be possible within our lifetimes. And not necesarily "day before we die" lifetimes.

McDuffies, I thought you were multiplying over in the Revolution or something. I mean, aren't there about three of you running around in that?

Oh, that's just the time paradox.

Ah, right. Much more likely than spontaneous asexual reproduction.

The poem.
I didn't really squish the bug that's in the poem.
That's just silly.

Ask Mercury Hat, she knows a lot about this subject, and in fact we were discussing it the other day in chat. Turns out, if I remember correctly, you can make a whole baby from two women's DNA, as in, no male DNA needed, using techniques similar to cloning. The offspring would NOT be a clone and apart from its unique conception, would be a 100% normal human being.

If this does happen, guys, we're out of a job.

Then again, I'm old and already with a foot out the door, so this doesn't affect me as much as you damn kids! mwahahahaha!

And there wouldn't be any problems with recessive genes, as inbreeding tends to do?

(Just asking an idle question, no need for this to delve into a serious discussion here)

Mercury said no, which got CJ into cheering and a "let's get rid of ALL men" mood.

I'm all in favor of getting rid of all the (other) men. Means I stand a better chance of getting a date.
