The problem is you're either apathetic, or everybody wishes you were.

Aw, it's the same everywhere...leading up to the election the incumbent is the biggest, cruelest, dumbest, most dangerous and least attractive tyrant on the face of the earth, so everyone (who actually says anything) whinges about them and wants to kick them out.

Four years later, once more, people (very often the same ones) are whinging once more that the incumbent is the biggest, cruelest, dumbest, most dangerous and least attractive tyrant on the face of the earth, so everyone (who actually says anything) whinges about them and wants to kick them out.

One of those Circle of Life things, I guess...
Remember when your imagination was real? When the day seemed
longer than it was, and tomorrow was always another game away?

1. I didn't want to offend anyone
and 2. A bunch of people will inevitably say it's a great comic and I am an idiot.

Anyway, if you care, the comic is Avalon High
Avalon has ended?

(With all hiatuses, it was inevitable that sooner or later I'd abandon it)

You know, there's one thing strange about it. People keep talking that Avalon is a weird comic, that it has weird plot twists etc, but I fail, to see any weird in it. To me it was a pretty classic high-school line of happenings. Soap opera, even. :-?

Did I say that I disagree with a lot of your quotes?
You can't. They have quotation marks around them.

PS. "Democracy is unable to any great good or any great evil." - Plato Image
1. Joel, Joel, you should know that Plato's political ideas were hardly applicable out of Sparta. His "Republic" has no other value than historical. Just because he was a famous philosopher doesn't make everything he said right. In fact, he was the most backward of helenic philosophers (well, maybe except Pitagoras)
2. Even so, old greeks didn't refer to democracy as the same we refer today. Under "democtacy", they thought "anarchy". Under "republic" they thought what we call democracy today. And to them, republic was very positive thing.
3. Please don't make blank statements about democracy unless you've lived in a country that is not democracy.
4. Don't judge on entire concept democracy based on what Bush or any other small politician (small in historical sence) does. Everything can be abused, so do democracy, but that doesn't devaluate it. In fact, most of world's tyrans claim that their land is democracy, which doesn't make it true.
