I mentioned the name to one of my roommates while he was playing Final Fantasy X ... guess what he named his Ifrit summon.

Yuna summons ... DOOMBEE!

The problem with choosing a name like Doombee is, while it has a cute kitchy value right now as a chatroom in-joke it doesn't have any significance that will carry it as a longterm brandname. In a few months it'll be just another "all your base".

You have to think much more longterm with a business name.

You know, I STILL don't know what the heck "all your base" means, other than that it's an in-joke I came in too late to get.

So yeah...I agree. Doombees is cool but it probably won't work.

"All your base" is an example of some atrocious Engrish committed by the video game Wing Zero (or possible Zero Wing).

The lines I can remember:

"Good evening gentlemen."
"Someone set up us the bomb."
"What you say?"
"All your base are belong to us."
"Take off every zig for great justice!"

Actually, I thought it was something somebody like my little brother did when he was both bored and in the grip of a sugar coma. After playing sixteen hours of "Serious Sam" and attempting to read Jack L. Chalker with one eye and Frans Kafka with the other...while standing on his head.

Knowing that somebody did that on Purpose--SERIOUSLY...that's bad.

There IS nothing stopping any of you from creating your own little group. You can be as professional/business-y or as hobbyistic as you like.
Yeah, there is something stopping people from starting their own 'professional business'

It's called Money.

The capital required to start an internet business is very low. Figure 10 bucks for a domain, another fifty for a year of hosting. What it does require is time.

Only it's not an in-joke. This literally took internet by storm years ago. Damn, girl, where have you been hiding?
