page loads/visits = ?
curious about the average number of pages each visitor reads? sure, some may read just one and another may read 20 or another the entire archive and every other page on your site... but what's the average?
i figure the monthly pages divided by the monthly visits gives you the average page load...
last month for loxie and zoot it was 4.526 pages per visitor. currently it's 5.025 - so even though the number of visitors are down (cos i'm not updating this month) those that do drop in are reading more of the comics... (i'm a stats freak, what more can i say?)
anyone else care to share their page load average for last month?

Sounds like your regular readers know you've stopped updating and you're getting some new readers going through your archives.
For the last few months. . .
July = 4.025
June = 3.91
May = 3.90
April = 3.30
March = 3.08
February = 3.77
January = 3.47
Oddly, March marked the biggest visits spike in the last year but the least number of page views in comparison. This could mean that I've scared off more people in march than I have in any other month. 8)

...sorry, wrong pocket.

So you say pages/visits?
mcDuffies:
This month: 2.76
Jun: 4.61
May: 3.43
April: 4.4
March: 2.9
Ferbuarby: 15.7 but this is the month stats were reseted so it might be inacurate.
Spacejams:
This month: 5.1
Last: 8.38
May: 1
Hntrac:
This: 6.52
Last: 6.34
Ple last: 6.25
etc...
Now if I was to assume that every month at least one person discovers a comic and reads a part of archives, that makes awfully lot of daily visitors. Or those who just check the site, say "meh" and go on.

Pages divided by visits...
*kick starts brain*
Ah, here we go:
This month so far: 4.23 (17 visits)
June: 3.75 (24 visits)
May: 3.00 (19 visits)
April 4.88 (9 visits)
March: 1.50 (4 visits)
February: 1.00 (4 visits)
January: 2.50 (6 visits)
Note my visits average more than doubled in April, when I actually started promoting the comic (through the Webcomic about 25 thread, guest strippin', and the newsbox). In fact, it was the very last week in April when this happened. I've yet to install Extreme Tracker like Melody recommended (so I'm a lazy git, what?), so I've no idea how many people are reading the comic right now.

Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

School Spirit's only been on Keenspace since June 12, but here's the stats so far...
June: 727/138 = 5.27
July (so far): 174/101 = 1.72
I guess that means now that all of our previous cartoons are online here (we were uploading one a day until we caught up with our last site, and are now updating twice weekly again) we've picked up a few regular viewers who are popping in and reading the latest then buggering off again.
But that's cool.
Interestingly, for the months of April and May I get an average page view of 1 for each month.
Impressive, no? Considering the site wasn't active until June...

My DA-Gallery - some art stuff
nice to see there are a few other stats junkies out there!
like war points out - for comics that have been established longer and have established readers the tendency is for them to pop in and read the latest update then bugger off.
although presumably, the more pages you have the more new readers can read! it's good to see HNTRAC has a farilt high ratio, means people arrive and really have a look around.
magellan has only been around a few months:
may: 2.779
june: 2.036
jul: 1.957
(so it's dropping even though the number of visits and pages has increased!)
other than for van douchebag (who's obvioulsy having a big month) do people find july is a slow month anyway - i'd imagine most of it would have to do with the northern hemisphere being in summer-time holidays mode. i've found that in the past...
and completely unrelated... loxie & zoot is #13 on page 2 and magellan is #13 on page 8... this sound ominous!

That's the funny thing about webcomics - it doesn't matter if your content is that good or not - if you can get people reading then you're in buisiness.
Just for fun, how many referrers do people have?
I have 261 so far in July.
