And if I may suggest browser alternatives:

I'm already a proud Firefox user. But you know, once those browsers become the rule, it won't be long until viruses start affecting them too.

Not as badly. IE and Outlook are a complete joke. Consider this...
Sun decided to make a scripting language for the web. Mindfull of the potential for viruses and and the lack of security on the web, they took every effort to insure that the product was a secure as possible. As such, it is impossible to write a virus in Java.
And MS. When they decided to write a scripting language for Outlook, they just wrote it with only a passing nod to security. The result is a scripting language that allows virus attachments in emails to open and execute themselves without user intervention.
And they're still patching it, what? Five years later?
I use Mozilla. I just tried Firefox and it's far, far better, but it kept crashing.

I use Opera on one internet account, Mozzila on other - in order not to bother with proxys and stuff. Opera fan. Feed the fat lady.
I use IE for one thing though: It appears that only from it I can log in to my keenspace accounts.

That shouldn't be right. Why's that?
I only use IE for image viewing since it loads nice and fast. I have Zone Alarm and IE doesn't get near to going on the internet.

Microsoft now has a virtual machine like Java called the .NET CLR. It is not a major Windows component yet, but I am guessing in the future Microsoft will be pushing for all software to run on it.
I use IE. Many people criticize it for a lot of silly things. For example, it does not block pop ups. Criticizing it for that is like criticizing a waitress for asking people what food they want. Those who go to sites where the popups are not constructive can get a Google Bar, MSN Bar, etc. And some people do not even look at the security and privacy settings in I.E. O_O
Also, for some reason, IE loads and traverses the web faster on my 1.6GHz Windows XP than Konquerer and Mozilla do on my 1.6GHz Linux. Although, I use Knoppix. I have not used an installed Linux for a long time. That could be the reason they are slow, but they are still unforgivably slow. A truer reason could be that Linux does not have processor-specific accelerations, as far as I know.
A good thing about Linux is that it is keeping Microsoft in check. They are starting to get more serious.

I've switched between Safari, Mozilla and Camino...

I use IE. However a few days ago another forum I lurk at was hacked. One member believes the new virus running around may have caused our forum to fall victim to hackors.
Today I started using Firefox *because I'm paranoid and I don't want my brother, who purchases MANY things off the internet, to get screwed over by a hackor* but there are some things that bug me about it. For one, my webcomic site does not appear correctly when I use Firefox. The background is supposed to be dark blue and the text white, but when I use Firefox the background is white and the text black. I did alter the color options in Firefox but that didn't seem to work...

I couldn't officially log onto Keenspace using Mozilla, until I upgraded to the most recent version of the latter. No idea why.
If you want a really nifty free image-viewer, check out this, which I use all the time when I'm paging through my personal archives on my computer:
http://www.irfanview.com
It's small, fast, and compatible with a buttload of file types, including several video-file formats. Plus you can put a roadkilled-cat icon on your desktop. What more could you ask for?

I use Mozilla everywhere but HERE. It's weird, but Mozilla simply can't log on to the forums.
So I use IE to check the forums.

Nah. IE is probably still faster since it stays resident. Anyway, it's not like I can get
rid of IE so I might as well use it - just as long as it doesn't get online, of course.

It's gotta be a setting problem. I've never had any problems. Cookies seems the most obvious candidate, but that means you've probably also checked them.
