It wasn't funny.
To some a kick in the face might be funny, to others it's just a kick in the face.
Seriously man, call me a depressive but I can't laugh at beheadings. After seeing the Korean video I just can't, it's nasty. Perhaps in half a year eh?

actually if I were to explain the PA spoof you'd really think it was tasteless.
On Dateline they had a thing about how young people like us gather on forums(in PhPBB code, so I imagien it looks just like this) Only instead of talking about geek stuff, gaming, anime, comics...theyre talking about how to blow up and kidnap people. An extrapolation, perhaps a commentary on distinctly stark youth cultures between America and Palestine. I'm just glad people got the Adventures of Pete and Pete reference. I miss that show.

Sure do, Bob, on sunday. With where I live, I just cannot afford somebody else to choose me a president, cause they might as well choose a neo-nazi.

Were we? I just said what I think of comic. It's much better than not posting anything (which would, to Pockeybot, probably seem like ignoring) or just posting a few fake lollers in order to make him feel welcome.
I mean, he's free to go read my comic and bash it to the ground if he wants.

You seriously cracked me up with the 'lollers' comment. First off, NOONE was a dick to me on here. This isnt even an official comic strip by me, just a quick of the moment spoof commentary.
You guys need to give yourselves more credit...this isnt the cess pool that the Megatokyo or Gaia forums are:)

I can't really understand Pockybot's comic strip. Are they supposed to be in some sort of video game or virtual reality or something? Is it supposed to be a gamer strip that's making references to something I'm not familiar with? Or what? And what's so cyberpunk about it (unless I've not gotten far enough in the archives that I've yet to see the 'real world' - a more than likely thing)?
I is confuuuuuuzzed!

Well, thanks, I guess. We try not to be hostile, yet occasionally we get accused of that. I guess people just expect us to be hostile.
Although please bash my friend. A lot.
Eh, I remember one late night tv show on one of our channels where they were showing all things that were cut out of regular shows for being too brutal. Like, you see a guy walking over the field, then he stands on mine and poof - after explosion he's dissapeared.
So one evening us four guys are sitting and talking, tv is on but we didn't realise what kind of show it is until they started going with the worst material they have.
Like this one: a guy, joking, drags a knife over his neck and, of course, stabs himself and blood bursts everywhere. Luckily, I'm the one who has my back turned to tv. But I was startled enough by the way three of them jumped and screamed "Oh my god!" Man, they were in hhock for about a minute.

A theatre around here is ignoring the R rating on the Fahrenheit film so that youngsters can watch it. The only thing that troubles me about the film is that Moore is probably being very selective in it. I heard that in it, he argues that Bush is a bad president because he read a book to school children for seven minutes after he was told of the attack on the towers. I do not see the logic Moore uses, especially since I would have done the same thing as Bush in that situation.
It is good though, because people will not be getting a censored view of happenings. You may have heard that there was/is a recent negotiation between the FCC and media companies to allow them to expand (such as get more radio stations, etc.) The guy in charge of the FCC is directly under one of Bush's guys, meaning that they could/can use the expansion deal as a threatening tool. "Listen, Media. If you show things that make the president look bad, we aren't going to let you expand."

Well, in my humble defense of bCx, we've just had to put up with the antics longer is all (maybe it'll get to you all here, or maaaaaybe it won't, don't matter to me)... and frankly we're all a bit edgy and hostile over there, because well it IS a Top 100 List so we ALL think the other person sucks

.
And Cory, really I have nothing against you, it's just that you just never listen when someone gives you great advice on how to improve so that you'll get the attention and traffic you desire. That's all. Best of luck (as always)

Well, I think the problem here is that... well, he's the president. If he hears the country just got attacked, he's supposed to get his ass in gear! But instead... he sits there for several minutes more... completely terrified and dumbstruck.
He has absolutely no idea what to do. And although you couldn't blame the average person for that, it's not something you want in a leader. This man is supposed to be in control. He's supposed to be collected and focused in times of national emergency, even if he is distressed. You don't think Roosevelt, when awoken to the news of Pearl Harbour, laid in his bed muttering; "Five more minutes."
Bush just sitting there baffled is such a perfect display of an aspect of his character.
A spoiled rich kid that's never had to face any real challenges. He ruined every business he was ever put in charge of through his family connections... yet he's never had to face up to that. He's never had to own up to the consequences of his own actions. Nor will he likely ever. Hell, he's still asserting he's never made any mistakes during his presidency!
He is quite simply, utterly aloof when it comes to responsibility and duty. This guy is not a leader. If anyone can follow politics and not come to that conclusion, than I don't know what possible hope I can save for the future of humanity.
He's a smarmy, arrogant, pretentious, hypocritical bastard... and to top it all off.... he doesn't even know what the hell he's doing. At least most other smarmy, arrogant, pretentious, and hypocritical politicians (redundant?) can understand their job.

I wouldn't mind the suicidal terrorists as much if they just found a nice, quiet area with no people around and blew themselves up there.
Anyway, the PA spoof was fine. As for having too much time on one's hands, he made a comic to make us laugh, and posted it online. Isn't that what we're all doing?
Though the second one about the beheadings, I just don't find that funny. I understand it's all in an attempt at fun and humor, but seriously. Two innocents were kidnapped and murdered in a gruesome way by masked terrorists, videotaped, and shown to the world (and their families). That one was just a tad inappropriate.

So you would not be terrified and dumbstruck? I do not know what he does for several minutes, but if he just sits there terrified and dumbstruck, then I agree with you. However, I thought once he was told about the attacks, he went back to
reading a book to school children. Again, I would have done the same thing. Also, if he had jumped and said, "WTF. Let's go kill them all!" Or just jumped at all, it would have looked much worse. And, like, the towers had been attacked by then. Responding in two seconds or two hours would make no difference.
