See how complaining actually works!

Eh!? What did I do?

I haven't really actually gotten or done anything really other than come up with a possible solution to the advertising problem facing my comic at the moment. Believe me, I'd much rather have Keen selling the advertising on my site than me selling it and I think the only reason why Keen has agreed to my cunning little plan is because with the way advertising is set up on Keenspace right now there's absolutely nothing they can do with my comic. At least with my plan there is the potential for some money and I think we can all agree that some money is better than no money at all. For Keen they had nothing to lose since my comic would have been a complete write off otherwise. So I don't think it was my complaining that won out so much as the fact that Chris simply realised the common sense of the proposal. Plus I've agreed that if Keen comes up with it's own advertising solution I'll impliment it over top of any system I devise. So it's really win-win.

Since it's up to me to sell the advertising it's only fair that if I should manage to sell some stuff I should get a share of the revinues.

I'm not going to be too aggressively persueing advertisers at the moment. The system is in place and if any of them want to contact me to advertise I'll be ready for them. I'm a little too busy at the moment IRL to handle a full-time sales job, but in a month or two I should have a bit more time to tackle sales more agressively.

I suspect Joey Manley's appearance might have also lent somemore credence to the thread. ;) Nothing like a dose of good business sense to get things moving!
P.P.S Someone call ambulance, I think Phalanx is having a stroke.

No, Josh ... that goes much easier. Anyone playing Ultima Online around in here?

.set skill magery=1000

*You see your skill in magery increasing by 100,0%*

*You see Asarea walking to Phalanx' dead body*

An Corp!

*You see a mighty flash wandering trough the body and gazooooks! she's alive!*

Well, in UO this works. *pokes Phalanx* you okay? :)

I played Ultima Online from March 7th to April 7th on a "bring-a-friend-free" trial. I tried to be an animal tamer, but I didn't realize there was a skill cap -- I ended up having 148962937642 other skills, all horrible low-levelled.

It was great though, everyone thought I was my best friend in that game, because we had similar names. My best friend has had an account for three years, so he's strong like a mothah. Everyone was afraid of me, the NEWBIE!

Anyway, Ultima Online single-handedly contributed big time to my hiatus (though school and life helped  ). YAY FOR SUMMER! My friend wants me to get Everquest next, but I'm afraid of getting addicted to THAT too.

STOP POKING ME!!

Haven't played MMORPG's for years. Although someone on my forum said that they saw a player called 'Doc Ice' some game called 'City of Heroes'.

Drat I wish I had a screenshot of that.

a few (clueless) questions... no doubt it's been mentioned elsewhere, but even if you could point me in the direction of the answer/s that'd be gooood.

- what is the 'ghastly solution'? i notice he's got 'advertise here' banners, so presumably that's some special deal with keenspace that's been worked out?
- who said what to hard that's got saturlina's (and seemingly so many other's) nose outta joint?
- is NC-17 content a no-no for keenspot? where do they draw the line?
- what kind of colour is puce anyway?

1. Ghastly is selling his own ads and splitting 50-50 with Keenspace.

2. That stuff has been pulled from the web. Ghastly and a few others know but nobody is talking. From what people say, it's best just to leave that one alone.

3. Apparently.

4. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=puce
