No idea if this woman is faking it, but if you do a websearch "Foreign Accent Syndrome" does appear to be a legitimate, if extremely rare, condition.

Haha. How strange. It just so happens that I know exactly what Ladies fingers are today because I watched Room 101 on BBC2 last night with Gordon Ramsay (the professional footballer tuned chef) in which he proposed that ladies fingers (a kind of green vegetable) be put in room 101 on account that they are completely tasteless, have a horrible off-putting sticky texture and are generally unpleasant to eat.

And..uh... I like broccoli. Yes. That was my point.

OoOoOoooo Okra! I was wondering what those Lady's Fingers were...

And now I too can make my own Fish Head Curry! Yay!

Also, I always thought okra was only really tasty and nice for other people and that's why they kept eating it. So in the vain hope of reaching this taste nirvana I kept eating them... And now I realise it was tasteless slime all along. Wow. The things you learn everyday.

I can believe the language thing, not because she woke up British one day, but because her voice happened to get messed up in a way that sounds British to everyone else.
