There's no middle ground, no stupid answers, no gloves.
Which one is more important to you:
Art or Plot.

Art can be pretty, but a certain comic by a B**** C***** proves that having a plot is crucial.

Plot. As can be whitnessed by Adventurers! ;} Well, that has a heavy dose of humor, as well. Of course, I do like beautiful artwork. But without a plot, there's no incentive to actually READ it.

Since my comic is purely one-shot gag comic strip style, it focuses more on art than on plot. But the art isn't really that good, so I guess if jokes fit into the category of plot, then I'll have to go for plot.

Art VS. Writing (in general) might have posed a tough one, but in this case: Art

A complete no brainer in my category!
PLOT!!!
I don't care if you have fancy as hell graphics or not, but if you can't even come up w/ a good joke or story, don't even think about posting your comics - I'm not here just for eye candy!
Of course, a little bit of art does help...

A mix of both is the best.
but the art must be bearable to look at^^

Okay, I'll play
:
Plot is important, but I would say that more important than the "plot" is the writing. Not simply the action and the course that the characters follow (the plot) but the level of writing and the skill shown in the process. A strip can have great art and a great plot, but if every other word is misspelled, and the characters could use stupid slang and l33tspeak and the strip would suck ass.
But that's just the writer part of me talking. ^_^

If the plot sucks, I'm walking the other way.
If the art sucks, I'm walking the other way.
Sucks is relative.
I'm a writer, so I need plot. I leave the art to my man Colby. Balance, that's the key.

"Sucks" is relative.
I'm a writer, so the plot is very important to me. I can handle art work that isn't on a professional level, but I've seen some comics with art quality that makes me sad.
