I received an email from a fellow keenspacer who has confirmed that he didn't send it. So, if anyone gets an email with the subject line : "Have a nice Allhallowmas", don't open it! It has a batch dat file attached to it from unknown origins and most likely is a virus! Info I've seen says on it "title.dat" from windows temp folder 063c51c3elfd-11d
Runaway kids, runaway!

Cool.
So have you scanned your system yet? Can you tell what virus it is?
Try this free scan

Oh hey, I haven't scanned it yet because I've been screwing with my computer installing a second hard drive, etc. I just know that it came supposedly from unfan, and he says he definitely didn't send it. And at this point I would think that this program has maybe gotten into keenspace since it's sending it from someone that I've never corresponded with before. I haven't corresponding directly with anyone via email on here, so the only place my email addy is listed is in my profile.
I think I've gotten like 4 or 5 sent to me this year, but as I'm sure everyone knows by now, if it's a bat or exe file to not open them unless you were expecting that type of file from someone.
Don't you just hate it though? The curiosity to just take a peek at 'em sort of like looking at a piranha in a fish tank? The last one I got said something about "a new website I know you're gonna love", and it came to my yahoo account, and when I had them scan it, I got major warnings "Do not open! This is a virus! For god's sakes man! Think of the children!"

It's probably that fricken Klez virus. I keep getting them saying they're coming from Gabe or Tycho at Penny Arcade, or sometimes Poe at EN. I get a couple dozen a day, some claiming to be webcomic automation tools. It's a truly obnoxious virus.

I got the allhallowmas one in my hotmail. I just deleted it. Hotmail has a wonderful thing where it won't display the email if there is a virus in it. Ahhhh....I love hotmail! *huggles hotmail even though it is run by MS* ^_^

Juno is my kind of mail service.... I find it better than hotmail mainly because I almost never get any spam or viruses at that account.... Its so clean and un-junk-filled...

Hotmail is so cool... I think so mainly because if you make a typo you get "hotamil" which sounds like an arabic porn site.

Or 'HoMail.'
'HoMail; providing exotic entertainers with wholesome family servicing."

"family servicing" in that context just sounds really, really wrong.
