So...did I miss an announcement or something? Has there been any info on when Keenspacers can start to use Keenswag to sell our stuff?

No announcement at all. I would assume never, it would get cluttered up to the point of uselessness fairly quickly if they did. Of course if they make it profitable with Keenspot related items, they might look into the possibility. I can't see Keenspace items working as anything but a loss operation though, so there'd need to be some thought to restructuring to make it work right. Cafepress is probably your best bet for the forseeable future.

Cafepress is what I'm using.

Not all Keenspace site would likely be loses though. Swag for Sexy Losers would probably sell.

As mentioned in a previous thread. Just because a comic is on Keenspace it doesn't neccessarily mean it is of poor quality or unpopular. Even my meager comic which only publishes once a week not only has more total readers than some Keenspot comics, but also has more daily readers than some (and I'm not counting the discontinued comics here).

There are undoubtedly some Keenspace comics that would be able to sell more "swag" than a number of Keenspot comics. Let's face it though, as far as Keen is concerned Spotters are the elite and Spacers are the dirt the elite walk upon. That's always the way it's been, that's always the way it will be. Just accept that you are scum and party with the rest of us.

I wonder how many Keenspace artists sell Cafepress merchandise?

Ghastly: Where are you getting the stats for Keenspot? I am overcome with locker room desire to see how I measure up.

I just looked through all the ones that had Extreme Tracker counter on them and compaired their stats to the stats on my Extreme Tracker.

It's just that there's a (so far empty) slot for KeenSpace swag. Check it out if you don't believe me.

And I thought Kisai or someone said that KeenSwag would be available for us, too.

I've got a DUKTAP shirt on Cafepress, but I mostly made it just so I could buy one. :)

I wonder if the profit margin will be a little better for us with the Keenswag than it is with CafePress. Two fricken bucks is about all the overhead you can charge before people say "Jeeze! I'd like to get one but that's just too damned expensive." I'm suprised CafePress still has such a high base price considering there are a lot more companies getting into the merchandise-on-demand game. Granted I don't think anyone offers the sheer variety of products that CafePress offers.

I just made my first CafePress poster, but it won't go on sale until this Sunday because it has to do with the strip for this week and if I make the poster available first then the strip will be spoiled.

You can make CafePress posters? How how how? Tell me how!

Make a graphic file that you wish to have in poster form. For a small poster, 16"x20" the image should have a resolution of 2400x3000 pixels or higher. For a large poster of 23"x35" the image should have a resolution of 3450x5250 or higher.

When you have your image finished then create a store, and then add the posters the way you would any other item you wish to sell.

The ratios for the posters are different 1:1.25 for the small and approximately 1:1.5 for the large so you can't use the same graphic image for both posters unless the background for your image is white, or unless you just want a white border around your picture.

I haven't seen a CafePress poster myself so I don't know what they quality is like for either the printing or the paper.

Thank you, Mr. Ghastly Man. The only reason I asked was that I'd been to CafePress and I'd never seen poster-making ability. But hey, if you say it's there.

Posters are a new addition, they've only been available for a month or two.
