Actually, the 27th was one of my worst days in August with 12 whole visits... and apparently the search strings "she's 18 and a freshman" and "pitchfork wielder" both find me.

How do those search strings work? For the past 5 months, the string "masturbate" has consistently been number one on my list. With 70 or more searches, too. I think it's just one guy trying to creep me out, or something.

Y'all get too many hits/visits.

They search the content of your webpage. Google does it.

I've seen a boost with my comic, but I think that's because I've actually started telling people other than members of my immediate family about it...

While I'm here though, a question about the weblogs. It seems that more than half of my "Referrers" are topwebcomics.com/*something*. I don't think my banner is displayed there, as I am nowhere near the top 150. Does anyone else have similar stats?

Oh, and as far as search results go, do you just get a "http://google.com?search=*something*" listed as a referrer, or am I missing something?

If you look at the specific stats for a month on Keenspace's automated logs, you get a list of search strings that found your page.

I've gotten some doozies too, that I already posted on the TWC forum... So far, my creepiest hits came from "Hamtaro Sex" and "Gay Vampire Sex". There was also plenty of dumb "elf/naked/dbz/blahblah" hits.

I hardly have any text on the EOI site because I don't do rants under each and every comic. How do search engines pick up the content of my images if I don't label 'em?

The search strings are right after the referrers list, or at least they are in mine.

And here's one from this month's list:

I got:

"Legend of Zelda commerical" - I did one about the old 1986 commercial
"Der kommisar", "Rock me amadeus", and "Vieanna Calling" - All Falco songs
as well as some other odd ones that only had like one hit. For some odd reason I got one from someone looking up "Bible".

But have anyone else noticed when searching your comic name with a search you get some Keenspace -forums you've never even visited on? I got a big list of other Keenspace comic's forums which none of them had a mention of Vegetarinat... Why the heck is that?
